    • Hi Sue, Long time no talk! Good to see you are still around and posting lovely photos. I no longer grow sans or houseplants, and have totally moved over to African Violet and other gessies. How is life? I've gotten married since we last spoke, to a wonderful man that God created just for me.

    • Hello my Dear friend, I was out for a living and had no time to enjoy the Webshots for several weeks. In the meantime I used to snap around and surprisingly, after my return I could compile some albums. The first one is a selection of pictures I took in several of my favorite places. The slide-show mode presentation remind me sweet memories which I am pleased to share with you. All good wishes from Romania, Johann

    • Hi Sue, I visited some of your albums and enjoyed especially the images of castles and of course gardens. I grow in my backyard (balcony) some ficus (lirata, alii) diefenbachia (they are huge, over 2 meters and have leaves as big as a scoop), a ten years old Areca (palm like), some euphorbias and a Cycas. But my favorite flowers are the cacti flowers because they are tremendous and make me feel the transience of the moment. Thank you for your visit on my featured album. Best wishes from Romania

    • Hi Sue, my name is Case Lorance, I'm a student attending Seminole State College of Florida and I intend to transfer to UCF this summer. Last semester I enrolled in a research class that requires me to find a mentor willing to accept me into his lab, pursue an independent research project and present my research to the class. My mentor Dr. Dennis Gray, a professor at the University of Florida(UF/IFAS-MREC) and leader of their Grape Biotech Lab assigned me to work with Anthurium hybrids as part of an in vitro and biotechnology research project. I am now 8 months into my project and I am the first in my class to present the research but I am sending you this message as a request to use an image I found on google titled 'Red Hot' which happens to be one of the varieties I am working with in the lab. It is a beautiful picture and I would like to show it to the school so they may visualize what Anthuriums are in true form and fully appreciate these ornamentals. Considering my endeavors I hope you might find reason to accept me as your friend and give me the permission to share your photo with the students and faculty throughout my school as part of my research presentation. Thank you for taking the time to read my request and hopefully you look kindly on what I have in mind for your beautiful photograph, if given your permission I will cite your name as the owner of the photo. I also wanted to show my appreciation for your recognizing the opportunity to capture the essence of this beautiful flower in its maturity, I would imagine you have an eye for nature's art. All the best, Case Lorance

    • Sue, Many thanks for your congratulatory message for my POTD of Mt. Rushmore at night. It was indeed an honor for me, especially since it was a photo of one of our National Memorials. A bit of trivia: Over 90% of Mount Rushmore was carved by using dynamite. Dynamite blasts removed approximately 450,000 tons of rock from the mountain. Have a great day. I haven't seen the movie, but my boss was telling me that I would enjoy the scenery. Carol

    • Hello Sue, Thank you for all your comments in my birds album, since you visited I have added even more. I really must start thinning the album down I take so many of the same bird to make it easier to identify. It was only a short time ago that there were only blackbird’s robins, and a couple of others that I could recognise and name. I have had a look at your superb bird albums. My next project is to go down by the river and capture some better ones of a wren. Best wishes Paul

    • glad you enjoyed the Fountains Abbey album and the memories with it . Lovely Abbey . I never used to take that many pics in '70 ,'80 & '90 because of film costs . A factor much regretted today though Web Shots is helping to recapture the places visited
