  • Hi Kat and it WAS nice to hear from you again. Thanks for visiting my summer garden and for leaving such a nice comment. Unfortunately a lot of our flowers have been affected by the intense heat of the last 3 or 4 days and they won't really have much chance to recover in the immediate future because, apart from the odd cooler day, we are in for a much hotter than usual summer.   • hello Kat and it was great to see you popping up on my computer once again. Thanks for the great comments in both the albums of Betty and Me. It seemed a shame to have all those old photos gathering dust in old shoe boxes! Hope all is well with you and Jay and that retirement is still enjoyable for you both.   • Hiya Kat - seems to have been a long time since we were last in touch doesn't it? Unusual really, the way time is just flashing past these days! Thanks for looking at my Spring in Western Australia album a few minutes ago and for writing all those great comments. I was very interested to read how your father used to breed cattle and how you grew up with them as a result. These in my pics are Highland Cattle, native to Scotland but bred in just a few other locations across the world. Here they are bred and cross bred and their young fetch very good prices. Needless to say they are incredibly gentle animals and it was very uplifting to be able to spend an hour or so with them a week or so ago. This has been my first album in WS for a while - like many others I got very disillusioned with the direction in which they seemed to be headed. Lets hope they get their act together again very soon. Hope all is well with you and Jay and that retirement is agreeing with you both, as it certainly is with us! Hugs, Peter
