My new scanner photography tutorial album is completed , I think ;-) I had a lot of requests ( 7 ;-) for a tutorial after the first couple scanner albums got hit/views in the thousands . Hi Karin. Thank you so very much for visiting my Fox Kit & Macro Insect albums. I appreciate your kind notes very much :o) I do try hard to get the best DOF I can with the macros - sometimes I can, sometimes not depending on available light. I've been playing with Aperture Priority mode lately and seem to be having better luck with it. Thanks again for your visit and have a lovely trip to Italy! Renée

Hey Karin: Sounds like you learned a lot during your foreign exchange time in Jamaica. Too bad it wasn't safe to be out in the evening. I've heard that the tourists need to watch out also due to pickpocketing for drug purposes. That's a shame! I checked out Rachel Parkers website. I now know how you two originally met on Webshots, you both love cats. You have them, she paints them! She's a great artist! I'm expecting some great pics after your travels this July and August! Hi Karin: Good to hear from you! Glad I brought back memories to you, although the place you lived at sounds rather primitive if it didn't even have hot water! To me, that would be kind of be one of the basic necessities I'd expect as a foreign exchange student! :). Hi Karin: Congratulations on landing your new job, YEAH! I'm so happy for you. Looks like all of your hard work has paid off for you. It's a challenge to work full-time and go to school during your "free" time. At least it's just you and the cats and not a husband and kids to have to take care of besides! Hi Karin: I misread your comment about your brother and who's kids from Cebu you were photographing. I was thinking these were your brothers' kids, but you instead said they were your brothers' in-laws kids. Oops! Also, I hope you don't take my tulip comments the wrong way, about them being boring to photograph! I'm saying that for me personally, I have a hard time trying to find a creative way to photograph tulips since they are not real intricate. They're pretty simple and the lines mostly the same all the time so I'm always challenged trying to be innovative in shooting them some way that no one else has! Hope this makes sense! You did a great job though capturing the wonderful display of fields worth of tulips. A nice way to start the spring! Sandy

Hi Karin: Forgot to address the smiling is infectious album. Yes we have a happy family, most of the time! There's always a sadness as we realize that our firstborn grandchild, Andrew, is severely physically and mentally disabled. But dispite his disablilities, he blesses us with such wonderful smiles and for that we will always be grateful! I don't think he has the mental capacity to realize how disabled he is, and that's a good thing. But the future will hopefully have promise for him. Thanks for your kinds words. Sandy
