Hello Jan, Guess what, I had my first full year at WS last January 19 where I discovered this new found hobby of taking photographs and sharing them. I really enjoy this and I would like to dedicate this photo as a gesture of friendship: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2654284890100277574bUGVdC

Dear Jan,
"I heard the bells on Christmas day,
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat,
Of peace on Earth, good will to men!"
(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)
Merry Christmas my friend.
Regards,
Ding
Dear Jan, It was a very tiring trip from our excursions to 2 beaches (Dampalitan and Borawan) on our way back to Padre Burgos town in Quezon. But quite unexpectedly, it was very late in the afternoon when suddenly the skies started to change, and the sunset colors against the distant mountains were almost like slowly dancing. Yes, I was tired, but not too tired to shoot the lovely sequence scenes of a dying but eternally beautiful sunset now posted in the album you just visited. That was a serendipitous few moments, and it was well-worth the take. May you be granted moments like this, too, as you continue on with your photo journey, dear friend. And God bless! ~~~Mary Ann
Hi there again, Jan! Though this has been rather unexpected, yet I'm really happy that WS editors chose the Ifugao picture as it showcases their culture and pride as a people. And in this respect, I'm excited and truly happy for them, and posting stuff like this picture makes it all worthwhile. The more the happiness is shared - the better for all, di ba? Got your comment, and deeply appreciate you for it. God bless you, my friend! ~~~Mary Ann
Thanks again, Jan, for dropping by my San Agustin Church album. About your comment regarding the facts I put into my albums, this is my reason for doing so: If people take the effort to visit your albums, you might as well feed them (like a gracious host or hostess would do) with important or relevant facts about what you are sharing pictorially. That way, they go home enriched with new info along with good memories and impressions of your shots. God bless! ~~~Mary Ann
Dear Jan, If you are serious about visiting the Ifugao terraces with your friends, contact Sitmo (Save the Ifugao Terraces Movement) since they sponsor ecotours that coincide with Ifugao tribe rituals at certain times of the year which you yourself can observe and take pictures when they hold them. Look for Nilo Manangan (I think he is the director) using the email contact number in their website:
http://sitmo.ueuo.com/ (just copy and paste this link to your browser. Link here in WS is not active.)
For your info. God bless. ~~~Mary Ann
Jan, It was an honor that you asked me to be your friend. I visited your Tagaytay highlands album and I enjoyed you walking me thru there. You have nice vivid colors in your pictures and they are very well made. You have an artistic eye. I will see your other albums soon. Have a great day, buddy.

Jan,
Thanks for visiting my Balboa Architecture album. I see that you went to La Salle. I have a lot of friends who went to Green Hills. Have fun with photography. Ding (San Diego)
Dear Jan, Thanks for enabling this guestbook for visitors to write on it. You have a wonderful gift, my friend. I just want to let you know about it. It seems that we both are in IT and loving the craft that is non-IT in nature - photography. You have very good perspectives and the quality of your photos is quite excellent, I guess made possible also by a rather good camera you use. Keep up the great work, and please remember that this talent you have comes from someone much higher than you or me. God bless! ~~~Mary Ann P.S. Your comment in my Fort Santiago album is certainly much appreciated. That tower reflection was an experiment which turned out ok, I guess. That's the key, Jan, experimentation!
