Hi John, we are from Omagiu magazine in Romania and we are going to publish an article about Real Dolls in our next "sex"issue. The reason for this e-mail is that we have seen your large collection of pictures with real dolls on this website and we would like to ask you for permission to publish some of them in our magazine. You can also check our website www.omagiu.com.
Looking forward for your answer, thanks a lot,
omagiu crew

Hi all,
i got one question. I saw a doll on this website i really like. I´d love to see more pictures of her and would like to ask the owner for permission to download the pics (not for a website only for private use). Who do i have to contact regarding snaps of penelope? She looks so gorgeous
Hi Johnfrost43,
Members of the Dollforum found that you are using photo's of their dolls on your website at webshots.
I'am one of the admins of The Dollforum.
Although I like the things you do with your mannequins, these photo's are the property of our members and should not be used by everyone now and then.
We are discussing wat actions we want to take, I like your work, and I eventually would agree with you using our pictures, but then we need the credits for it, e.g. a sentence "pictures from The Dollforum" should be added then. I don't know yet of our other members agree with that, but they (should) have the right to have their images removed if they don't like it that you have them on your site.

The DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512) is very specific on how to protect your images and what to do if they are used without permission. You can protect your intellectual property through a very simple process that does not require court proceedings and their significant costs.
A simple form, known as a DMCA notification sent to the infringer will meet all legal requirements to notify someone that they are infringing. The same form sent to credit card processors and web hosts will really impact infringing web sites and usually get prompt action.
Once received, the infringing website has a set number of days to either remove the images or file a counter notice claiming that they are not infringing and do have the right to use the images.
Service providers, as defined in the DMCA and case law precedents, (credit card processors and web hosts in this case) are exempt from liability for infringement. This exemption ends however, once they knowingly allow a known infringer to use their services. Sending service provider’s copies of a DMCA notification meets the legal requirements to establish that a service provider is acting with knowledge and may no longer be exempt from liability.
My suggestion for dealing with this web site, and any others that do the same thing, is to prepare and send electronically (e-mail) a DMCA notification that they are infringing on your copyrights by using your images without permission or license, and demand that they remove the infringing images. Specify the images you own that they are using with URLs and file names as found on their web site.
Send this notice to the infringing web site, their web host and their web provider (the web host's web host) and their credit card processor. Make the CC's visible so that everyone knows that everyone else has gotten the same notice.
