Hi Jim, Adelaide is over 2000km distant from where I live in Queensland. However I like visiting SA and go there every few years. Distances are very vast but close by are the wine growing areas Barossa and Clare Valleys. If you have time the Flinders Ranges National Park is worth a visit. If you go to places like Broken Hill or Coober Pedy you will experience the true outback, but distances are great. Kangaroo Island is a nice close place to visit. Adelaide is also lovely but it is going to be HOT, HOT, HOT in summer. Hope you enjoy your trip. Stan

Hello Jim, thanks for visiting my Smith Rock album, I'm glad you enjoyed it. You made the comment that you were surprised to see southwest looking scenery in our northwest. Have you ever been to Dry Falls SP north of Moses Lake? Different geological origins but still has that Arizona ambience to it. Happy hiking and thanks for the comments...Richard

You know you can block users ? There is a place to the right of the comment you can click to block them. I think everyone is having problems with non-photographers leaving SPAM comments in their albums. You can also report them to WebShots and they will block them. You don't have to make your albums friends-only. Love your stuff ! - Pat

I have changed my account to "only friends can comment" because I am receiving 2 or 3 spam comments every day. I will probably discontinue my webshots account in the near future because of the spam and other issues that I have with the way Webshots management operates.

Hello Jim, I'm glad you got to enjoy my Entiat River backpack trip and your coffee. Ice Lakes are truly spectacular and I recommend it. Just remember to pack your uphill legs as you'll need them. A rule of thumb is that any trail that leaves the Entiat River is going to be ungodly steep. Changing the subject: Last week, my wife and I cycled the whole Oregon coast, about 400 miles. That should be my last big adventure of the year...I think. Anyway, thanks and happy hiking to you. Richard

Hey Jim, thanks for visiting my Pow-wow pictures and Soda Mountain. The dancers at the powow are a real treat for the eyes and camera. Soda Mountain was newly minted as a wilderness area this year and is feeling the love after many years of misuse and neglect. It is one of my favorite places to hike in. Switching subjects, I backpacked in the Entiat River area which is in your neck of the woods, sort of. Have you ever been there? What a beautiful place! And what hard hiking! I'll have the photos uploaded in a couple of days, stay tuned... Richard

Hi..I'm sorry that you seem to be having problems finding the beginning and end of each of my walks. I put a link to the most recent walk each week on the "Weekend Photo Walk" page so that anyone who wishes to see the current walk can be taken straight to the beginning of that particular week. I also try to put an "End" shot so they know when it is finished. Thanks for visiting the album, I appreciate your interest. Fay

Hello Jim.. It is I, Brenda...Well about your question as to where that place is at. it is in a little tiny town called MELBA, ID....My mom, (trublvr)and Dad took us there after my sons had to go back to their dads house in Arizona. It was very refreshing and uplifting .. I nice secret God loving place...It was an honor to go there. The People that actually started that place are burried there.. There is in Cemetary where they are burried. Quite nice actually, to be burried where you created a wonderful nature and God walk for others to visit...!!!! Any way I hoep youi are well..Have a great day
