HI Jim: Yes, I remember trillium from my days tromping through the MN north woods. When I was growing up in St Paul, the family used to go "up to the lake" on weekends camping out in a travel trailer parked at a friend's resort on the shores of Bay Lake, just north of Mille Lacs. Doesn't everyone do that? I still have a good family friend that lives in a home on Upper Hay Lake north of Brainerd.

Dear Jim, Your visit to my tropical Romblon album thrilled me to no end. Thank you that you took the time to sit down and go through all 97 shots, and for that alone I am indeed amazed ... and grateful. The place is surely unspoiled because not too many tourists come here since to travel to this place is not an easy thing to do. Yet strangely, it is primarily for this reason this place is kept pristine, unspoiled & uncommercialized (unlike its counterpart and neighbor, Boracay). Thus, those foreign tourists who've already seen and been to this place have been coming back here every year. And strangely they, too, prefer and not mind travelling with some inconvenience - just to keep this place exactly what it is now - unspoiled and untouched by mass tourism. And wonderfully, the people of Romblon realized this, and thus, they do want to keep it unspoiled. So from the tropical islands of my province, I bid you "Mabuhay! Hi Jim!!! Thanks so much for your note on St. Saviour's church in Dubrovnik. And yep, you're right. It's my understanding that a lot of damage was done during the recent Croatian / Yugoslavian war, about 10 - 15 years back ... and I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the bullet holes in that shot took place then. Hi Jim, I'm new to webshots and have just put up a couple of albums. Your lake one shots are nice. I hope to post some nice stuff from the Maryland area. I just got a new DSLR and was wondering how may shots didn't make the page. I know that I have been getting about 20% of my shots that I feel are postable. Coming from a film slr I find that I now shoot more picts than I used to. However I do love my new Nikon. Bob (check out my albums)
