well, I wasn't commenting on just one picture, but all of your Pug ones, in general. I made a halloween one, using one of your Pugs, and sent you a picture of it.
I've never posted any, but would like to show you a few on them. How can I do that? Renee (who has five Pugs)
Hello Megan, We wish you a happy Holiday Season and the very best for the New Year. Here's a link to a Holiday message from one of my grandsons, Nolan, and Jeddah and Benjie. Regards, Margaret

Yes Megan, I was fortunate in that when I had to say a final goodbye to dear old Sheba, my other dog, Flash (an SPCA Save), and I were very sad and lonely, and I approached the local Council Pound - and there was dear little Jedda (strange as it may seem, she had been named Sheba by her previous owner!). It seemed as if it was all meant to be - her young owner had handed her into the Councl on the Friday, and I rang on the Monday! She didn't utter a sound for 3 days, then on the 4th day, she dug up a mouldy old ball from the garden, and presented it to me with a light in her eyes, and she hasn't stopped playing since! BTW, I guess you realize that one of my twin sons took those professional looking photos. He's now started up his own photography business in Adelaide, S.A. I think he'll do very well, because he loves animals too! Thanks for your message, Regards. Margaret.
Thanks for the info Margaret, sounds like an incredible breed. I love "working dog" breeds and Jedda sounds like such a loyal friend. (I also love the name Benjie btw).
Hello Megan. Just looked up some authorities on the Stumpy.I'll try to paste their info in:-) Here goes: Three breeds of dog went into the making of the "Stumpy". First there was the crossing of the Dingo with an English breed of dog called the Smithfield (these dogs were naturally bob-tailed), which is where the gene comes from that is still present in the Stumpy today. Then the progeny from these matings were crossed with the smooth coated blue merle Collie (commonly referred to today as the German Coolie) and so a breed of dog was born that cattlemen, then and today, swear is the best working dog in the world.
From Wikipedia: Occasionally a puppy has a non-standard color such as chocolate or apricot, but this is a cosmetic issue and does not affect the health or well-being of the dog.
In conclusion, it is important to keep in mind that the Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog is a breed in its own right, not a variety. Well, that about says it all! Whilst Jedda has "Smithfield" markings on her legs and chest, she is a number of shades of brown and gold, with a sable tip to her coat! Goodness knows what else has managed to creep into her genes:-) One thing, however - she is faaaaast - loyal and loving to me - insists on "working" with anyone whom she can "con" into throwing the ball of her choice:-) You might gather from all this that I have a remarkable little "Stumpy X" and it would break my heart if we were forced to part! Thank you, Megan, for asking about Jedda, thus giving me the opportunity to look up the "Stumpy" origins:-) Hugs. Margaret.
