Ran across your pictures of Camp Ole. My son is trying to maintain a website that includes information on the different Camps run by the Transatlantic Council, past and present. Was wondering if you would mind if he uploaded one or two of your pictures of the camp. Also would appreciate any comments you would like to provide that might be incorporated to the site. www.blackeagletrader.com/ sukeuwoapalanne/tac/ole.h tml is the website currently for Ole'. Also if you have any Ole patches you would like to trade/sell/provide scans it would be appreciated.

Hi Mr. Paulin. Marsha Dunfee told me about this site. My mom and I were just talking about you the other day and we were looking up our apartment on google earth! Then I was just telling my kids about Ms. Hatfield (who looks fabulous!) and there she was! Please email me and let me know how you are! (tracy.earp@bluebell.ppdi .com) Hope to hear from you. Hey Mr. Paulin, John Soto here. I wrestled for you my first three years of high school, before my father PCS'd. I ended up wrestling at UCLA and graduated in '78. I then served as an Intelligence Officer in the Air Force, and retired off the Joint Staff. I then worked for a few government agencies until I moved on to Industry and now work for Northrop Grumman. I still consult some senior officers in the Air Force and mentor the commanders of two intelligence squadrons. And I still stay close to Doug Juanarena and the Doolittle twins. In fact Doug was the best man in my wedding and I was one of the family escort officers when the twin's grandfather passed away. Just wanted to drop you a note to say "Hola" and thank you for giving me the opportunity to wrestle when I was a punk kid. It ended up being a way for me to attend a great university and led to other athletic accomplishments - as I finished the '93 Ironman Triathlon at the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. I now live in Olney, Maryland and am a grandfather! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks. Get a chance, drop me a note at either Bruins78@verizon.net or Pepe.Soto@ngc.com...take care...John Soto
Our class of 1950 have get-togethers evey once in awhile, so if interested in joining us, my brother, Bob often joins us too. My sister Pauline of the class of 47 often jions us too. Let me know my email address is hjpaulin@sbcglobal.net
Hi Harvey,Came across this site while looking for info on Bassick for my sister Lillian. She graduated from St Stephens in 47 and I in with your brother Bobby (still remember the first peanut butter sandwich I ever had with him).Never was in the troop but was in Ship 5 for several years,Skipper for last few. Also Scoutmaster here in Monroe for 10+. Don't remember lots of names but faces are familiar
Hi, Mr. Paulin! You wrote me back after I commented on your class of '85 photo. Actually, I wasn't in your class. You had retired by then, I'm sure. I was at Torrejon from 1987 to 1988 and was part of the last "dormie" graduates. I stayed at the dormitory on base. Your name sounds so familiar. Look, would you send me a link to a photo of you, if you have one on this site? Seems like I had a teacher that used to sing along with Karaoke songs that he kept on reel to reel tapes in his science classroom. He had a good voice, too! The songs were from mostly the seventies. He was on the short side and very good-looking, and he kept a snake or two in fishtanks in the classroom. I wonder if that was you? Also, this teacher used to say that he didn't care if you wrote your homework on toilet paper, as long as you got it in to him. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember it was a fascinating class. If you have a picture of you, let me know. Oh, do you remember an English teacher named Mr. Hoge? He was really tall and he had curly red hair. He was brilliant!
Mr. Paulin,
You most likely won't remember me other than reviewing the Yearbooks (1980) however, I was in your class that year and thoroughly enjoyed your instruction. What I find so fascinating is that you captured so many memories for so many students at Torrejon! You have truly been a lifesaver for those who want to remember the past by looking at photos. Although I only got to spend one year at Torrejon it left an incredible impression on me and I will never forget Spain. I want to thank you for your foresight in capturing all those photos from the past not only of Torrejon but your travels throughout the world. One day I will venture back to Spain and try to find an area to sit and relax and remember those days when things were carefree and simple for a teenager; provided I can find a place like that since all of the urban sprawl has left those teenage "hangouts" developed.
Once Again, thanks so much for providing that little light of happiness and memories.
V/R,
David Collins, 81
