Ginny, I know you put this picture up a long time ago but this morning I saw an animal setting on his haunches (sp) in my backyard and I couldn't tell what it was, I thought maybe a large cat. I tapped on the window and he turned around and I thought he might be a woodchuck so I looked woodchuck up and got your web site. Sure enough you had pictures that looked just like him. Thanks for your help, even if you didn't know you were helping.

Hi Ginny, Thank you for your comment on the deer picture in the challenge. I see you are from upstate New York. That is where I took the picture. In Lewis County. I was up there installing an E911 system for Lewis County. I spent 3 weeks there and had fun taking pictures in my off time. At the time I was living in Florida. Big change in the weather for me. Hi Ginny, Your Christmas album is darling - the kids are so cute and getting so big. Her tree is gorgeous!! It looks like everyone had a good time and it seemed a shame to say goodbye in that last photo. But all things must come to an end. Hi Ginny, You saw Twiggy! That's great, he's adorable isn't he? I think they're fascinating to watch as we have walnut trees that keep them busy. We don't see a lot of black squirrels in our area either, once in awhile but few and far between. What is really odd is that I have never seen or heard of a black squirrel with a red tail......very odd. :o) I'm so glad you told me that was a woodchuck, the boys were discussing it and honestly I wasn't sure. We saw that one at Spring Mill State Parks Pioneer Village and I think it had a bad leg as it hobbled when it moved. I think the folks that work for the park feed him to keep him alive.
