Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are my favorite majestic bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave

Hi, Frances, Many thanks for your kind Easter wishes -- I likewise hope that you will have a delightful Easter holiday! It is encouraging to see a number of beautiful signs of spring in the photos of my British Webshots friends, particularly after such a stormy winter. I hope that spring has well and truly arrived for you! As for the weather during our trips to the UK, we were fortunate last year in that we arrived in late September, when the weather was glorious, and encountered more good weather than bad right up until our last couple of days (in mid-October). The one disadvantage is that I took so many pictures that I am still frantically trying to catch up with going through, sorting, labelling, and posting them. Every one told us then that we had missed a dreadful, dreary summer. I certainly hope that the coming summer will be much better for you! All the best, Rebecca
