The thing I missed most when I was in Australia, was the variety of foods in America...and the quality of food we have. The only meal that I enjoyed really was a chicken schnizel (SPELLING????) in Wollongong. Also had a decent meal at some "German" restaurant, but not great....the cheese bought at the store was YUMMY, but eatting out...was disappointing....Wish you had more Mexican food to eat there!

Hi fiveamrunner Surfing the web and came across your photographs from ANZAC Day Canberra 2008.......all very good. I featured in one #P10307444.....Kingsley11 07....on Webshots. There were some other photographs taken at the same time when in a jovial moment I exchanged my beret with a visiting Turkish officer and put his hat on. Hey Dave! Haven't heard from you in a few days. Anyways, visit my website late Monday evening in Australia. I'm in the midst of having already scanned some beautiful prints, now I have to fine tune them before I post them for the world to see. Theymare pics of the West Coast (in Canada, at least for this album). I think thatbyou will be pleasantly surprised. (I've got so many albums that I want to post to Webshots. It's not even funny! Thanks for you encouragement! -Lawrence BTW, I read in one of your albims that that beautifule lether jacket was stolen. I'm sorry, but that's a shame! That leather jacket looked awesome on you! I hope the person who 'borrowed' it has the worst luck in the world. I have a leather jacket that I bought in a Seattle shop. I could never part with it as it reads on the front left side "England Campaign: 1944-45" The inside of the jacket is entirely in Russian, which basically says: I'm an American. As you find me, pls deliver me to the neareest American Embassy or Consulate. It's not likely that they would do that,, but the jacket is a keepsake. To tell you the truth, I liked the looks of your jacket better than mine. We are about the same sixe, judging from the pictures, perhaps one day if we meet, I'd take that jacket off just for you. -Lawrence

Hi David, Just wanted to tell you how much I've appreciated your albums. Before Christmas I discovered your album 'Autumn in Australia'. I loved it so much that I've saved every photo in that album onto my hard drive. We both seem to be well-traveled,, although I have yet to make it to Australia. I left you several comment this morning on your Queensland album....very nice. I really appreciated your Grand Canyon album, which I want to revisit after I get some sleep. Also saw that you used to live in Phoenix....so did I. I'm planning to go through that album after some sleep. At a glance, the colours are really awesome. Imsuggested to you in one of my comments that you should consider selling your photos. I'd also like to extend an invitation to you to visit (or revisit) my homepage. As I don't have anything interesting to shoot right now, I'm taking some interesting photos out of my photo albums (from the pre-digital age), and scanning them. [Thank goodness for photo software programs. Last week I posted 'One Night in Georgia' which I spent hours touching up since I used ASA 1600 speed film, and the scans came out really 'grainy'. But with an HP program, I mainly used it to reduce the noise.Night photography is a whole different ball game. I also posted a B&W albun, 'annapolis' of Maryland's capital, along with a few shots in Delaware. I'd really appreciate your comments on at least these two albums. [Say, as friends, when I post new work on Webshots, do you get a popup in the lower right-hand corner of your screen announcing new work posted by your friends? Just curious.
