Dear Sandro - How lovely you are to think of me when you heard about the bushfires in my home state of Victoria. The nearest fire is about 100 kms from where I live and we are in no danger but you can smell the fire and see the smoke haze in the sky. So far 181 people have died but there will be many more, 2000 homes have been lost and 7000 people are homeless in the state of Victoria. It is the worst tragedy in Australia's history and our country are united in grief for all of those people who died. Everyone is in shock and there are still many people who are still missing, presumed dead. Thank you so much for thinking of me from so far away. I know the story of the bushfires made world news. Hey Sandro - How lovely to receive your message on return from my holidays. My time at webshots nowadays is only seldom and I wish I had more time to view my friend's photos. I was in Bali, Indonesia in September last year and took over 2,000 photos. I've uploaded quite a few of them but as I said, time is always against me. I didn't pay them a cent to go to the edge & sit on that narrow slice of rock. I wish I had their courage & their shoes. Have bought sturdier shoes since but I think I will stick to the cliff edge still.
