Hi Ev, Thank you for keeping in touch and passing by my recent albums. I just lurrrv living in Ilfracombe, it's so quaintly victorian English with a stunningly glorious coast and moorland countryside. I have decided to stay in the UK and not return to Mexico, even though it's proving very difficult to find work because of the recession, plus age discrimination is alive and well! My rented apartment has a wonderful sea view, fantastic to watch the colours of the sea over breakfast. Thank you so much for your very kind comments about the recent additions album.....I haven't looked back since buying the Olumpus E510. After 18 mnths I feel I've got used to it, and I have a lot of time to practice! Plus the quality of my shots has vastly improved since shooting in RAW - despite the extra time in conversion I find I then rarely need to do much further post editing. Still a photography addict, and enjoying the seasons and the varying,changing light of the UK. take care,Lorraine

How did you like the cruise tour over a bus tour. What would the up & down sides be. Your photos are inspireing.My husband,also an Emergency Physican used to be the photocrapher in the family. Until he bought me a digital camera.Now I cant put it down.I hope he takes up the hobby again when he retires.His 1st love are his patients.Another 4 years and he has promised to slow down. Age 70.He has such a unique perspective of life.I feel he also has alot to share with others.Now I'll have to convert him from 35 mm to digital. It's such a faster reward to see your accomplishments!

Hi Ev, So glad you enjoyed the Florida Show pics! I'm counting the days 'til you and Bonnie make it down here to do the Florida Retreat. I'm hoping to be there with bells on and take the advanced carving class that I hear Bonnie will be teaching. Cherokee is coming up and I'll be posting loads of pics of the raffle, auction and exchange pics. I'm also teaching a VERY basic filigree class from the technique Bonnie so effectively taught in Savannah. I've given her all the credit for what I know about power carving and will certainly be forwarding folks to Bonnie's website for a look and see at the best gourd art around!! BTW, how did you get along with Kathy Reichs' books...was she your cup of tea? If you happen on any other author of her genre, I'd appreciate you letting me know! Of course, I find James Patterson tops in that field. He, imho, toppled Patricia Cornwell of my fav-list's first place spot. Hi Ev, my Webshots did not work this morning with commenting.. now it is OK again. The first flowers are now blooming in Helsinki although it still may snow during the weekend. I went to the Winter Garden today as I had read somewhere they would have had rabbits there for Easter. But then, it no longer is Easter, no rabbits. However I saw one outside on the banks of Töölö Bay. That reminds me of my blog.. I will send you a funny video. I am now 60 years old, it feels real bad:-) Greetings, Merike

Hi Ev- thanks for commenting on my Loreto album. I LOVED that trip. We went because of an article in our paper telling us about the huge burst of development in that area, and to see it before it was gone. Many many changes coming areound Loreto, and I hope it can keep its small town laid-back feel. One day there, huh? Bet it was a cruise, and all you had a chance to do was spend a few hours downtown. I've never gone on a cruise for just that reason--- I want to SPEND SOME TIME in places I visit!! LOL Denise in San Diego
