Randy, congratulations for over 31 1/2 years, wow, I haven't even got to my 1 1/2 year mark with UPS. I know what you mean about blood sucking managers at UPS. It seems as if they show no appreciation at times and yet, for example, when they were doing their United Way drive last week, they couldn't dump more praise on us, it was disgusting to say.. As for you, wow, I hope my testimony can be that lengthy.. For what it's worth, I have done many jobs and like UPS and want to advance within their company. Job stability in an economy that stinks, especially here in Florida. Well, have fun on your vacation and I will pray that nothing happens and that you will retire with all the honors that is most definitely owed to you.. Take care again, Don

Hey Randy, hope all is well on your side of the country.. We are getting ready to put the new system into play at UPS. I am scared because I just learned where everything goes, I am a sorter now and hope the new 'Pass' system works.. Are you folks on it? If so, how's it going? Thanks for the comment on my lighthouse picture. I had a blast on vacation this summer although, I was sick with bronchitis while on vacation. I have to report that I am better now and four months not smoking after 18 years of almost a pack a day. I love those photos because it reminds me of what hard can get you. Randy, I was unaware that you had commented upon my Mahe picture in the Seychelles. I'm not very good at getting around the Webshots website. It took me about 10 minutes to find out how to reply to your message. The picture was shot from shore. It was one of those magic days when the sky was brooding and the waves playing tag along the shoreline. You mention Kodak, Tri X in your biography. I go back to the early 1950s when Tri-X first came on the market. It was twice the speed (ASA 200) of Plus X, but grainier when pushed. If I am able, I will now view your portfolios. So sorry to hear about your Mom,Randy!I'll say a prayer for her.~ With regard to SkyDog,I've been an Allman Bros. fan since the beginning 40 years ago.I saw them 5 times at the Fillmore East back in '70-'71 including the shows that the spectacular live album came from.I met Duane when the band played at Drew U. in NJ at a party in the dorms before the show.One COOL cat!~The Allmans are still a GREAT band.I'll be seeing them at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan this week.Can't wait! ~ (I didn't take any of the photos.I just wanted to honor the legend.) ~ Warmest regards,Bob

Hey Randy - Thanks for all of your comments about the mystery fruits in my featured album, I took most of the produce shots at Uwajimaya's in Chinatown Seattle, and by the time I got around to uploading them I couldn't recall what they were!! Thanks too, so much for your kind words of congratulations on my WS Featured Album ‘To Market, To Market.’ I normally do not do a lot of macro work, but weather conditions (ice/snow/deluge of rain) forced me to think outside my normal photography box, so I took my camera to several grocery stores and uploaded the results as a lark.
