Hi Erin! I just discovered your absolutely stunning Radiating Sun quilt! I have a young daughter who is a graphic designer in NYC. Our tastes are light years apart, but she, too, was blown away by your quilt. I was wondering if this was made from a commercial quilt pattern or is it an original design. I'd love to make something similar in a wallhanging to brighten up her tiny, dark studio apartment. Nancy

Dear Erin, Thank you for the incredible joy that finding your site has given me. My grandma was a terrific quiltmaker. My mom can recreate things just by looking at them. My second sister was incredibly creative, too. My abilities are with crochet hooks and looms. My mom and I love Jane Austin. Thank you for an aspect we'd never thought of. Ms. B

Hi, thank you for the comments on my applique project. The applique quilt you were asking about is a pattern from The Rabbit Factory called Whitework Sampler. I bought it at a local quilt store, but you can find it at therabbitfactory.com They show the quilt made with a dark background, white applique, and brown sashing. I think it is beautiful quilt! I am happy in NC - we are in one of one hundred counties in NC. There are only five not in a flood zone and we are in one of them. It was hard leaving NY but we are retired now and happy. Thanks so much for being my friend. I view your photos whenever they come up on the screen from webshots. Awesome work! You are my idol! Claudia
