Morning Rahul! Thank You so much for your visit among my "Macro flowers" and leaving such a sweet comment. It put a big smile on my face this morning :D My camera is a Casio Exilim with 7,2 mega-pixels and a 3x optical zoom (Casio EX-Z700). So what I do is I try to get as close in as I can and still get a "clear" photo, shoot and then I cut the photo right in my camera to the size I want. On occasion I've used a free "photo-shop" program on internet called picnik.com to cut photos, but usually I already "know" what I want so it's a lot faster to do it directly in my camera. Hence my "fake" macros ;) Well I better get back to work. Take care Rahul and have a beautiful day. Eva :)
Hi Duke. It is impossible to write comments on your pictures and albums. Did you choose it this way?
I just stoped by to look at your new stuff, and to let you know that my picture of a Masai school girl in Ngorongoro, Tanzania is being featured today on "Travel" "Africa". Regards, Nurit
Hi Duke. I have looked in some of your new stuff, but was not able to post a comment.
I would like to share with you a letter I wrote today, regarding removal of my CC entry from the Display page and the album. Please let me know if youagree with WS regarding the removal, or you agree with me. your oppinion is important to me, and I will not be hurt by what you say. This is the letter:
I am hurt and disappointed! My photo af a Dani tribe’s man from Irian Jaya (west Papua), Indonesia, was removed from the display page, and from my album. In the picture, a nam from the Dani tribe is at the airport, wearing what he would normally wear in his village; A long gourd to cover his intimate parts. Everyone else at the airport is dressed “Normally”. I think this should be a winning material for “Out of place”. Unfortunately, someone in WS thought it was offensive. I dont think so. When I have uploaded this album, I have asked my WS friends to let me know if this is worthy material for WS. Everyone thought that this is great, and it is not offensive. I have seen programs on National Geographic with very detailed photos of the Dani men and their “Dress code”. I have seen other albums from Irian Jaya on WS with this “Dress Code”. A few weeks ago an album showing circumcision in Africa of teenagers, with all the close ups, and all the details, including very bloody ones. I thought this was documentry, and worthy material, and I have sent my compliments to the owner of the album. What is this double standard? I think the people on WS should take the time to learn about other cultures, and not judge evrything that is different, as un propper or offensive. Please take a second look (I have uploaded it again in my Irian Jaya album as “At the airport….”), and read about the Dani tribe and their “dress code”. This is National Geographic” material, and should be allowed on WS. Very disapointed, Nurit
Hey Duke! Thanks for the invite! Looking forward to checking out your albums- looks like u have a bunch- going to the warm beach ones first as we're sitting in snow and ice (Ugg)! Happy New Year!
Hi there and thank you for visiting my album. The camera I used is an Olympus C-5000 Zoom. I bought this camera in 2004 and bought a macro lens attachment for my close up shots. It is not a fancy SLR camera but I do love the photos it captures.
