Hello, Its me again, Pam. I ride almost daily and am ready for a bigger bike. I have got to find some friends to ride with. I love riding alone, but it really is fun riding with friends. Thank you once again for writing your journal. It really helped me a lot. Thanks again. Pam
Hi Miss Dee,
Searching for riding tips for begining riders I stumbled across your journal. Little did I know that the journal was submitted on a women's web site! *gasp*
I have always wanted a motorcycle, but didn't think I would ever have one. Well for Father's Day this year my wife surprised me with "My Bike". A very nice Honda Shadow Aero...too nice for a first bike, I think. :-) But hey it's what I wanted!
I tried it out (wanted to get the feel for the clutch and throttle, etc) a few days ago and dropped it! Luckily it was on the grass and no damaged done - to me or the bike. ;-) After that I got very discouraged...I got to thinking that maybe the purchase was a bit premature. We live down a dirt/gravel road and don't have a paved driveway...mainly grass - which I found out isn't the best turf for learning to ride. :-)
Today reading your journal I was highly encouraged to get back on. This time with the aide of someone who knows what they are doing. :-) You are blessed to have such good friends! - Sterling
Thank you for your posting...you are reaching more people than you think!
Hi Dee, Your diary has helped me more than you could realize. I just turned 50 and bought a bike which I am learning to drive. I have had good moments and two bad where i dropped the bike and thought maybe I should give up. Then by chance I found your diary and it renewed my desire to not give up and to push forward with learning. Thank you so much, Nancy
Hi DeeDee, You are an inspiration to me! I am a 49 year old female newbie rider. I just read your journal and so identified with your learning experiences! I have a long way to go but I love it with a passion. Thanks, Pam
