Hi Don Have you moved your albums or are you switching accounts? I have posted three from Turkey this week. Unfortunately i never got to Ephesus, would have taken more than eight hours travel and it was just too hot. KennyD

Hi Don Thank you So much for your kind comment on my " Bed time for Blue eyed Shags" picture on the "Family Portrait" challenge. I apologize for responding so late' but I was for the last 3 weeks on a trip in the Pyrenees mountains, in Spain and France. Internet was very limited. I do not take many pics of people Don, unless it's unavoidable like in a crowd . You seem to know Cornwall quite well.

Thank you for your kind comments on my Broughton Album. In answer to your questions, it's located in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Still in private hands; the same family has lived there for 600 years. The owners are related to the actors Ralph and Joseph Finnes; part of Shakespeare in Love was filmed here. Also, I think they filmed an episode of Keeping Up Appearances here. I was surprised they allowed photography inside, a lot of places don't. I would have loved to get indoor shots at more of the places I visited; guidebooks and postcards make the suitcases very heavy very quickly!

Morning from Arkansas, Don. For the same reason that you didn't go on the London Eye, I passed up the opportunity while in Paris to ride up to the top of the Eiffel Tower--a long line and too little time! I look forward to seeing your pictures made from the "Eye" at the top of the cycle. I know you'll do that! Blessings to you and yours, Barbara

Hi Don - I am a writer, and the forest pictures are so meaningful to me. Primeval in feeling and presence, and each one an inspiration. Surely you were standing in light when you saw the scenes. Thank you so much for the inspiration.

You know it's funny you would make that comparison " egg in a test tube splitting " I thought the same thing a while ago . So about a year ago I took the video and ran it through an Embossing filter . It turned out really freaky . You would swear it is a live cell splitting . I had joked to someone that I should send the video to some scientist with a note that says " I saw this in my microscope ! " ;-) I haven't released the other Live Cell video yet . I probably should it's pretty strange ;-} The invention is in it's early stages , so it's low resolution right now . The finished product will be higher rez and much more advanced looking with a synchronized audio track .

Thanks glad you enjoyed the optical illusions . They pretty much all use the same technique . It starts with an object . The object has a light side a dark side and a middle that is in between a medium tone / tint . The middle is called the body . The light side is the highlight . The dark side is the shade side . The brain looks at this simple object as a 3D form . The subconscious moves the mind and eyes towards the light , sort of like how a moth goes towards the light ;-) In order to make the illusion work you need a row of left side lit objects and a row of right side lit objects . This causes the eyes and brain to subconsciously flip from one side to the other side causing a whooshing effect that appears as motion . So virtually you can make a persons mind pick up movement in any direction . Wheels turn or wobble ,waves wave , etc.. ;-) If any of that makes sense ;-) And yes my art teacher in high school nicknamed me " Merlin the Magician " when I got my first computer I signed in as Mirlen because all of the Merlin's were taken ;-) You think those illusions are freaky did you see the electronic Kaleidoscope I've been working on ? http://entertainment.webshots.com/video/3043636520044363884mXJeQI
