Hi Kimberli, We are both back at work now and planning a canoeing trip down the Elk River for Angie's Father Birthday on Labor Day Weekend. We have used all our vacation except that allotted for Thanksgiving and Christmas; so it is work, work, work except for holidays. All the kids and significant others are coming on the canoe trip so there should be about 10 of us. I think he and all will have a good time. The Elk is pretty tame as it has been dammed repeatedly. We are planning a 7 mile trip about 3 - 31/2 hours. Never floated the Elk so it will be a new adventure for all of us. Hi Kimberli, Angie and I have been on the road the last month. We went to Key West 21 - 28 June and then we left for Oregon on the 9th of July. I returned to Atlanta on the 20th to fly to St Louis for work but Angie stayed in Oregon until Wed the 23rd and flew back to meet me in ATL on my return from STL on the 24th. Hi Kimberli, Angie and I have been staying close to home to conserve leave for two trips that we have planned this summer. Gasoline prices are enough to keep you at home too!!! Thanks for the comment on the Looking Glass Falls photo. Yes I do like the water flowing over the rocks at eh base of the falls. It truly is a beautiful place. Hope all goes well with you. I'm ready for spring! You been hiking any with CA? We haven't hiked since Nov in NC. Angie and I hiked alot of Horsepasture River. That is a magical stream with all the falls along the way!

Yes Kimberli. Water was found this trip but we have curtailed our waterfall lust this summer due to the lack of water. Hopefully we will get some needed rain soon. Hope you two are doing fine!!! Hugs david

Kimberli, They have an annual event at the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds, which is a national monument and the burial grounds in an around Macon have stoppped the Fallline Freeway from being built on the politicains original plans. But the event brings dancers, muscians and performers from the Indian Nations in OK. We had never been. One of those things you keep saying that you will do but don't. It was quite interesting. I keep trying to add pictures; but it is very time consuming with adding captions and all!!! Plus we just got this new computer and all our pics were not on the external hard drive so I have to hook the old one back up and download all the pics to the Ext HD. Always something!!! Take care, david
