Merry Christmas Carol, It is so pretty to look out, but honestly, I hapte winter. I just don't like the cold. I could handle it if it were only about 3 weeks, but thats long enough for me. LOL... I haven't been on WS as much lately, I got a new computer for Christmas from my Hubby and so I'm trying to get used to it and then I also got on Facebook and got hooked on a game called Farmville. It's so addicting. I hope to get back and catch up with ws. I did go in and see your photos and they are great. I believe I left some comments. Happy New Year,Karen
Hi Carol, Thank you so much for viewing my albums. I'm glad you enjoyed them. We didn't have the house built, however we did do a whole house remodel. It took us 3 years and it was so much work, I love the house but I would never go through it again, especially at our age. We haven't noticed the bugs being so bad here. That would be a shame if you had to give up your beautiful view. I am hoping we can stay here for a long time. It is so peaceful and pretty. My husband hates it when he has to go into the city. I did have to put character in to post a comment now. I think its a real pain and takes way to long to post messages that way.
Hi Carol..yes, was taking life easier during the summer, travelling in the motorhome..(Yale gold panning and Ft. Steele albums) but having breathing difficulties. This past Oct. 7 had the heart attack, and Oct. 13 had a stent put in, nice and easy, beats being opened up. Already I feel like I am 15 years younger, but the funny part is I have to learn to breathe all over again. Most people don't think much about it, it just comes naturally, but apparently I spend a lot of time holding my breath (for no reason other than habbit) I have arthritis, and the pain gets to me sometimes.Gotta learn to breathe..haha.. I am now capable of going up hills, slower of course, but so wonderful to be able to do that once again. Before the heart attack, couldn't walk 2 level blocks without stopping to rest at least a couple of times. Now I walk lots more, no rests. I do need some down time though, so when that time is here, I come do webshots..love sharing pictures, and it is the first thing I do every morning on the computer. I do hope your health problems are as easily solved. Thankyou for asking.
Hello Carol, you were interested in knowing how I did a certain picture, it is the one of the single Cyclamen "On the small screen". In that shot, the flower was hanging over the white bench and I took a single flower picture. It was then uploaded on the program where I edit. I used Vignette to get the dark edging around the flower, then I used a simple reflection frame which allows you to edge the picture, then move it in and make it smaller, keeping the edging around the outside, you can make the inside picture whatever size you like.It is all in one of the many programs I use. Sometimes I will cut a flower and lay it on a coloured sheet of paper for effect. Hugs,Shirley
Hi Carol, Webshots introduced the code thing about three weeks ago because of the number of spams being sent, but I think it's driving a few of us crazy! Annie has given up in frustration; her new site is http://coffeemonkeyclinkofthecup.shutterfly.com You're right, she's also on Facebook, but I'm not, so I don't know much about how it works. Have a great day. Lora
Hi Carol~ Thank you for visiting my "Creative Fun 2009" album. I never know where my mind will take me when I create art but I love the journey. I am off to see what you have done...I am excited to find out. Have a wonderful my friend~ Hugs, Peechez
Thank you for the nice comments on our birds photos. They are appriciated. If you want to modify some of out photos with the programm you mentioned and post them. We would like to see the results. Robert
Hi Carol~ Everyone will automatically have to fill in the characters to leave a message. It is to prevent spammers. You can go into your account info and only allow friends to view your work if you feel the need but, you do put your name on your work so it should be safe. I will always help you with anything so please, always feel free to ask me. I am touched that I inspired you. That gave me a smile. As for how I do the work in the album you just visited "Being Creative while Getting well"...I first make a fractal in the Apophysis program (a free one) Then I open it my Paint Shop Pro program and use a filter on it to make it dreamy. After that, I use brushes in that same program to create my picture. I am so pleased you enjoyed the album. I am trying to work on some Christmas themed ones as well. I look forward to seeing more of your works my friend. Warm Regards and hugs, Peechez
Thank you, lovely Carol, for the nice comments you made in my County Fair 2009 album! I really appreciated the time you took to visit and to comment! Thanks too for the congrats on my fair wins and for the nice compliments! I'm not sure how they judge the eggs... that's one category I never entered. Congrats to your niece and your belated sister! It is a lot of work to prepare stuff and to enter them... but if you win at least something, it is worth it! I entered a lot more stuff but didn't win... I only took photos of the winning entries! I wish you a marvelous day, sweetie! Hugs, June
Hi Carol~ What a wonderful surprise to hear from you again. I thought you had left. I am glad that you didn't. Thank you for visiting my "Autumn Trees" album. I did use a filter in one of my programs to get the dreamy look in those shots. Thank you for visiting my "The Beauty in Autum" album as well. I really enjoy your comments. I will dedicate that "moo" shot to you seems how you like it so much. I have some country gal in me as well even though I live in the big city. You were right, we do have to bag our leaves here but your way sounds so much quicker. We raked ours, buried one another in them, tossed them in the air and raked again. We are young at heart :) It was fun. Thank you for taking a peek at my Halloween album as well. I hope you get to keep visiting this time. You were missed. Have a wonderful day... I am off to see your Autumn album you spoke of~ Warm Regards, Peechez
Hi Carol, Thanks for your visit to my son Russel's new car album. My eldest son Russel has completed his graduation from California, USA & at present he is a computer engineer there with H1B visa status. My 2nd son Robin now is a MBA student in Sydney, Australia. My youngest son Rashed is a BBA final semester student in American International University. I have no daughter, so you can imagine my age, it's now 56, should I change my son's pic as my webshot member pic?
You are right about present situation of USA, but should not discuss more in open space. My best wishes for you. Greetings from Sharif
Thanks I have started posting My photography on redbubble.com but not much yet . Haven't had time to get serious about putting more on either site . I'm a pro artist though . Sold art since I was 11 . Hate the selling part ;-/ So that part of it hasn't been that successful . Sold about 50 or so originals locally for a few thousand $ Won quite of few local awards for art . Don't have anything up for sell at this time though ;-/ I'm a real Amateur when it comes to photography . I need a lot of practice ;-} Expert with a flatbed scanner though . Which is what I used to do most of my Macros :-)
Thanks glad you liked my macros ;-) Sure you can use a portion of "Hydrangea flower skeletonized" No need to post my name if you are just using a portion and collaging in other things . If you use it as the focal point then I would ask that you post that it is my work though ;-)
Just got back from Victoria . Went to Butchart gardens and the near by Butterfly Garden's . Both were magnificent !
Hi, Carol: Thank You, Thank You! I am so pleased by the lovely compliments you left on my photos from "What New At My House". Thanks again. Warm Regards. Norma

Hello My Friend, I have not been on the web now for 27 days. I first had my children here, then we spent 10 days with them. Now I have my parents with me for a week, so I haven't had time to even look thru my e mails either. Then something went wrong and I lost all my e mails. So now I am going thru my albums to see the messages and comments sent. I want to thank you so much for visiting the new albums. When I get time I want to look at all your beauties too. God Bless and have a blessed week. Hugs Faith
