  • Thanks for your response. I hope they rebuild as well. We watch a nest regularly as well. It is obstructed at spring though, so we miss alot. We really enjoyed your pictures, and look forward to more!

  • Hi Denise! I wanted to Thank you for your comment on my Eagle/Eaglets pic & answer your question. The pics I have taken were here in St. Petersburg, FL & they were all from last years nesting. We haven't had the oppotunity to visit as much this year but have stopped by to check on the babes. I was there a few weeks ago & was literally shocked to find the nest gone! Spoke to the groundskeepers on this visit, they said the bad weather we had the beiginning of Apr. plus the Eaglets were picking the nest apart-probably ants were driving them crazy. I am looking forward to Aug. to see if this pair re-builds, in all the visits we have done over the last 2 years, we have missed them bringing in new material before eggs are laid. I hope they do re-build as it one of the few we have found that is easy to get to & actually get to see the young as they grow & hang out near the nest edges, then up in the branches, then flying free. Still have many pics of last years brood plus this years brood, need more hours in the day! LOL
