Hello! I am so glad to have found your photos! I was reading through my wisconsin birders emails tonight and saw your mention of a caspian tern... so I clicked on it and found wonderful photos of birds I have been wondering about. It is a wonderful resource for me, and the photos are really great! Today I was walking through Merrick Park in La Crosse, and saw so many things I wished I had a guide to tell me what they were. I am so new at birding. But I am sure now that the little guy I saw was a Sora, as it matches your photo perfectly. I thought it was a water ouzel (sp) which is impossible, because they only live in the mountains out west, but it so reminded me of that favorite bird of mine. A gentleman and his wife who came by had already suggested the sora by my description, but when I went to my bird book I had doubts. Anyway, I look forward to watching this web album, and thanks for the good work! I use Flickr, if you want to see some of my photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/roxylou88/ I am hoping to get a camera with some speed one of these days, but I have fun anyway. Happy birding!

A pair of Canadian geese have taken up residence in my neighborhood. They have become parents. Can you tell me how to tell the difference in the male and female's coloring? Noe of the info I found on google helped with that info. Thanks
