Thank you for your lovely comments on the Rose Parade. the Australian Gold was given to me about 5-6 years ago and was in bloom in a large pot. When it finished and was pruned I set it in garden and it never fails to give a good splash of colour and I am sure you would be able to get it in N.Z. Dear Cynthia, So good to see you come for a visit and your lovely comments. Must admit the "Australian Gold" is one of the loveliest yellow roses I have seen. My son gave it to me, it was in a large pot and flowering, that was about 5 years ago, I took it out the pot after pruning and set it in garden,it never fails to make a lovely splash of bright colour. Dear Cynthia, so good to hear from you and I am glad you had a good trip away and will look at the pictures tomorrow. I have been so busy getting Christmas parties and dinners arranged along with a bus trip and 3 raffles. Keyboard has had to take second place for a bit. I do hope you don't give up on W/S, I am going to stay with them for awhile and see if things pick up, although a lot of people have gone to Red Bubble and some to flickr. Seems once they go they just call in every other week and then go again and it is a shame that a lot of people are losing good friendships they have made. I have taken a look at Red Bubble and do know a lot of people from Webshots on it and I don't think it is the friendly site like Webshots. You can only download one picture at a time and there is little if any chat goes on. The code words have got rid of a lot of spammers and I too find it irritating but I will put up with it and see how it goes. The awful colors they had on their pages was taken off by the complaints of a lot of people. Go to Blog if you have anything to say and leave it on letters. Good to have you back Cynthia. Dear Cynthia, sorry you had trouble finding I did too but they are really easy. The Rose one is in Home & Garden along the side then flowers, click "more" on the middle lot of pictures across which should be most recent, it is on page one, 3rd row. The other two - Blue Singapore Orchid in Mirror Frame is in Entertainment, Digital Art, click on most viewed "More" it is on 2nd page about row 2. The other is in the same place but way towards the end of all the pictures and it is Sunbeam Babe from Something Different. Hope you have better luck this time Cynthia, you should look in these sites for your pictures, always go into what you have them tagged under. Hugs, Shirley

Dear Cynthia, Thank you for your comment on the Oriental Lily reflected in Foil, just thought I would try something different, I had a sheet of paper from the flowers and when I took it of I saw that it reflected the Lily so well so was born some interesting pictures, some did work better than others. Glad you liked it. Have you roses come out yet, mine now need to be dead headed and trimmed as it is warm and lack of water is not helping..Hope you are having a lovely day. Hugs, Shirley

Dear Cynthia, pleased to see you comment on Mr Lincoln. It really is a beautiful rose and has such a lovely perfume. Makes a good model. Hope you are well and weather is improving.We have had some really warm days in the 30's then a storm that seemed to last forever but it did bring some good rain and lifted the catchments to a better level. Dear Cynthia, belated thanks for your visit to my album Rhododendrons and Fireweed.Nice that you liked the flowers which belong more to the south than to the north. As for snow in June, it happens, yes but only for one day. We can have one day snow in July and in August. It melts almost immediately but looks really impressive.At present I do not live in the north and enjoy real beauties of the southern life. You can see it in my new albums. Hi Cynthia, the magnolia only has very few flowers buds on it as I gave it a heavy prune. From memory last year I think they opened near the end of November. Will let you know, the only thing is I never know when they will open and they need to be photographed in the first few hrs of opening as they start to spoil and the centers fall out. Dear Cynthia, thank you for concern about birthday, it is 11th Oct. You are an optimist but I love you for it as I am 82 now and take each day as it arrives and make it the best day of all. That is one reason I was so cut up about Eddie, 14 years and now too late to get another.Like you Cynthia I seem to have a lot of pictures of flowers but it is the only thing I can get lately, had a lot for my birthday and don't want to pass up an opportunity when they are so lovely.
