The Forks agreed to a New Date for Icebike 9 - February 18th!
The Icebike event is billed as a fun event in which riders of all abilities can participate in and have a good time. The 3 distance (approximations) categories are
3 km- snowflake
10 km- icicle
20 km- abominable
with male and female categories in each.

I think I have a new favourite race. The 2nd running of XC 8 was held this past weekend. What a sick course. I will definitely be back, even if they course beat me up but good. Pictures to come soon. www.offroadsyndicate.com
The most non-technical course in Manitoba was very technical due to the extremely dry conditions. I would call 90-degree turns at the bottom of a hill, in sand and at high speeds very technical.
EVERY ONE showed up for MB Provincials at Grand Beach. Even Paul La Point (my hero), Dale Crammer (perhaps the fasted person in the province) was there. I believe there were more single speeder at Provincials then every. Perhaps 7 or 8 in total!
28 years without a single sting, and now I get stung 3 times in one freaken year! Yellowjacket is the common name for several different species of wasps& read the entire article at http://www.vespa-crabro.de/baldfaced/yellowjackets.htm
After the 8 Hour is UCI World Masters Mountain Bike Championships in BC AUGUST 27TH TO SEPTEMBER 3RD SUNPEAKS BRITISH COLOMBIA

All in all it was a good day. No one was seriously injured. A few egos might have been bruised however! http://www.cycling.mb.ca/raceresults.htm
