Lee, Glad you liked the old B&W photo. If you look at the way they were both facing, you can see how nice the view was from this point. Back then, there were no trees to get in the way.
You mentioned that you live in the area. Where are you living? I know many lawyers from Syracuse, NY that own lots in that area of the Colton Hill Cemetery. I've met them while driving in that area. All are very, very nice.
As far as the cemetgery being owned by someone private, I don't think that's correct. I believe the town still owns this property but are no longer maintaining it. Here's my email if you need more on this. SACHENEY@COMCAST.NET. I'll have to look you up the next time we're up that way. I can show you around the cemetery.
I noticed your BIO. I started as a mainframe programmer too. Do you remember PL1? I was probably the only developer with that language under their belt. Used to write that on an old 370/138. At the time, the 370 was new. College was COBOL on the 360. Augh! Times have changed!
