Sorry about this long delay. I go by this tree almost daily and there are only a few sticks in the branches. I have no idea what will happen during this mating season. Yes, it does take a lot of time but since I am retired I do this as a hobby. No income, just expenses!!! I am also watching a new Osprey nest that was started last spring and has remained empty all summer. Thank you for your comments. Chuck4Photos

I just spent the last hour "reading" your marvelous album of the Heron Nest project. How entertaining and engrossing. What a work of love and patience. I wish I knew more about the habits and mating of these beautiful birds. They obviously had a great affection for each other and I certainly hope there will be a little one to show for all of their (and your) efforts.
