Dear Charlene, Maraming salamat sa bisita mo sa aking Fire & Rain Trees album! You're right - these trees are actually called fire trees and golden shower trees. Your many comments are warmly appreciated, especially now when I will no longer be uploading (at least, not as much) photos for many months since I have many issues right now at work and even at home. Dear Charlene, Thank you so much for the warm comment you left in my Halsema Highway album. Just to let you know, except for the shots I took during the 15-min stop-over in the town of Atok, all the other photos were taken while inside the bus as it was travelling along the highway. Very difficult indeed since many of my shots were diffused, jarred or unfocused. Still, it was fun attempting those shots in a moving vehicle! It seems I will be plying that highway soon because I fell in love with Sagada & would like to return to that charming place. It seems that Baguio City now pales in quaintness and quiet/old charm when compared to Sagada. :-) Have a great Holy Week, dearest Charlene! And God bless! ~~~Mary Ann

My dear Charlene, Kamusta ka? I deeply appreciate your wonderful comment in my featured album, Panagbenga Flower Festival album (3 days ago). Though the photos were taken a year ago, I could still remember how exciting & fascinating the event was for me since it was my first to actually see it. Imagine my surprise that you seem also fascinated by the colorful photos after all this time. (Amazing is the wonder of frozen action & detail caught by the camera!) Your feedback is truly heart-warming & inspiring. Thank you so much for those encouraging words, my friend. BTW, perhaps later this February 28, you will have the chance & time to take photos of Panagbenga 2009 this time? I will not be around since my daughter & I will visit Sagada at about the same time that Panagbenga will take place. I really hope you will have the chance to document the event. Did you notice my new Webshots profile photo? I took that one from The Good Shepherd Convent in Baguio. I love that scenery with the Dahlia flower against the mountains (Mines View) and pine trees of Baguio. I really hope to retire there someday, my friend! ~~~Mary Ann

My dear, dear friend, Charlene, You don't know just how delighted I was to see you visit my Boracay and Pahiyas albums. Glad you "toured" those places and enjoyed them yourself! They were firsts for me really. My daughter & I had a wonderful time sightseeing & backpacking from Romblon (both my parents' home province) to Boracay.
