Dear Chaplain, I just wanted to thank you again for your efforts in maintaining this website and giving us something to look forward to everyday. When this new journey began for me I was at a total loss and did not think that I could maintain any sanity not knowing from one day to the next what my son was doing or had gotten into. With your photos and everyone's daily posts I can say that I am at ease and know he is ok. Without this site I know that wouldn't be the case. I read on the F co site that this website may be taken down and I find that very discouraging. As for you, I am sad to know that you will be leaving and so close to our graduation date. I feel sad that I will not get to meet you and tell you thanks in person. Please know that you are going to be missed tremendously. Thanks for everything you have done and I wish you and your family the best. Maybe someone will take over and we can have our awesome Honor Hill pictures. Susie, proud mom of PVT Thomas Folmar #115..C Company Grad April 27th.

Dear Chaplain, thank you so much for this site. I'm rarely at a loss for words, but it seems that I don't have words eloquent enough to express my appreciation and the horror I feel about the site perhaps not continuing. It is here that I have forged connections of support and conduits of information. I've been able to maintain a small feeling of participation in the daily life of my young (17) son by seeing what these young men are doing. I quickly came to the conclusion that I was in no way losing a son; I was gaining an extended Army family. That may sound hokey, but it's real. My son loves it when I send copies of the pictures to him and requests multiples so he can share. I have no idea what objection there would be to maintaining the site, but I also don't know how much of your time and energies it takes in care and feeding. Selfishly, having seen the Honor Hill pictures of other Companies, I will mourn for the loss of Charlie Co, Apr 07 pictures of that goosebump event. I'm so sorry I won't be able to meet you at graduation. Thank you for standing up for our site, and I hope it was a fast healing flesh wound (falling on your sword. I hope your next post is a good fit for you and your family. Thank you again, Tinker Iddins, proud Mom of my C CO Guardian of Freedom, PV2 Cole Ackley, #101
