    • I love your bird photos. Wish I could paint some. I used to collect ceramic birds but daughter disposed of them after I had my stroke. I miss them!

    • You have quite a nice selection in your album of white-winged crossbills. I am a writer from Ohio looking for a crisp photo of this species foraging on Canadian hemlock seeds for a book currently in the final writing and editing phase. The 200-plus page, full-color, hardbound book features a world-class Asian stroll garden northeast of Columbus, Ohio. If you are interested in possibly contributing to the book, please email SE Long at scotosu8@hotmail.com. Thanks!

    • Hello, My name is Darlene. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate your work. I have been visiting your albums for a least 2 years now and so enjoy my visits. I am not a photographer. I am a birder, and a lover of all things of nature ( with the possible exception of those pesky mosquitoes). I love your photos, and I love that you are dedicated to restoring an environment for our birds and other wildlife. Much admiration for your works coming from Ohio.

    • You're welcome. You are right, birds are not "uncooperative" as I said. If anything I am a bit impatient, which is peculiar since I am usually a patient person. Andrew--Sacramento

    • Thanks for the rapid reply about the telephoto lens that you use. Fabulous close-up pictures of birds. I have a Nikon D200 and a 80-400mm zoom telephoto lens. I also have a spotting scope, I never imagined that it might be used for photography. I will work on it. Thanks so much for the information. Ev Gibson, Tucson, AZ USA

Hope you enjoy seeing the photos as much as I did capturing them. The early photos were digiscoped, but now mostly with Canon 20D or 30D and 100-400 IS lens. My other passion is restoring the Burn as a wetland, where most of these photos were taken. Clint
