Hi Craig, sorry for the two week delay in responding to your comment left at my River in Infrared album. Thanks so much for your kind words and for your advice, and the news on your most recent experiments too. I've tried shooting both in color and in b/w, and was surprised at the results in some of the color pics, after I adjusted in Photoshop. I'm not sure I even put those up. Levels and curves are two of my favorite ways of adjusting for tones. Would love to try the "local enhancement" plug-in, I'll look for it. I'll be looking for your shots increasing the depth of field - I know those will be amazing. I just wish we'd get some good skies when the tide is out at midday at the river! Hi Craig.. Elandan Gardens are at the division of 16. and 3 highways...You will love it ...There is some amazing things in there .. Not sure its worth paying the $8 to get into the back of it .. Its kind of a mess back there .. But hey it was worth seeing ... If ever you make it to the South Pacific let me know .. I would happily show you around where ever I am at the time .. Yes, Point Reyes is a beautiful place, and what's even better is that the drive is equally beautiful. There were so many places on the way where I should have stopped over for a while, but didn't. Craig, Thanks for the visit to my test infrared shots, I'll still be testing/experimenting for a while. I did buy that used Pentax *istD and it IS very IR sensitive, hooray!! The couple of shots of Swamp Creek in Kenmore, I was pleased and the exposure time was much less than with the K10D. Now to find the right subjects. Do you have any tips? Hi Craig, I bought a R72 filter, took it out and gave it some shots with my Pentax K10D on a tripod. At 30 seconds the images seemed overexposed to me and I've read that the K10D has a really strong IR internal blocking filter. I'm looking into a used Pentax *istD which is supposed to very infrared sensitive. Any thoughts? Thanks - Madge

Hi Craig, I see life for you is not too much different than life for me right now. We have about 6 inches, winds gusting to 40 mph and then to top it all off, last night we got a freezing rain storm, just to make sure I have to put on chains to get to work tomorrow morning! Yes, those UPS packages are still calling me to be sure they get delivered before Christmas!. Speaking of Christmas, have a blessed Christmas season, keeping Jesus himself as the center of it.
