Hi Craig, thank you for visiting my “Backyard Birds Through The Seasons” album and for leaving your nice comment. It is much appreciated. No, I don’t have a large backyard but it does contain a variety of trees and provides a bird-friendly habitat. I also live near the mountains and national forest land which helps draw migrators and year-round residents alike into the yard. Birds are an important part of our outdoor heritage and it is sad that, over the last several years, their numbers have been dwindling. I’m glad you liked the pictures of my little red fox. The camera loves her and I do too.

Well thank you so much for your encouraging words of the pictures of your lovely state of Washington. You would't believe it, but some of those pictures are taken out of the car window. some I would have to say, "Stop turn around that is a kodak moment right there." He is so good to put up with me.

Hi my dearest Craig. I just want to take a little bit of your time to wish you a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. Thanks for your friendship and for your visits to my albums. I wish you all the best in 2011! Jorge.

Hi Craig, I think if you wore your hat back to front you'd be as popular as Rhonda. Having spent a good while looking at both of your albums, I think I prefer yours, especially the Autumn in Washington set. Sometimes less is more, and your eye sees the best I think.

I've found the answer to my question about Simplify--it can be downloaded as a plug-in to Paint Shop Pro, which I do have. Think I'll give it a try.

Hi, Craig. Interesting that you like the bolder effects in my paintings (done with Paint Shop Pro's Virtual Painter. What I liked about yours in many cases was their subtlety! I checked out the program you use (Simplicity by Topaz). In one place it says it's a Photoshop plug-in, so I'm not sure if I could use it since I don't have Photoshop. Do you know if it can be downloaded as a freestanding program? Thanks for your visit to my "Virtual Paintings" album. I've discovered a way in Picasa to crop pictures so that they are widescreen and have an album of "Widescreen Favorites" since both my laptop and desktop now have the wide screens. I'll check out Rhonda's albums, too. My husband 'arkmac' also has a membership here at http://community.webshots.com/user/arkmac.

Thank you very much dear Craig. His information is much appreciated by me and also his response in this sense. I have always admired his work, because you have artist's soul and a big sense to know by intuition the best photographic captures. In spite of my limited time I will keep on enjoying his beautiful photographs accompanied by a soft music of fund (December of George Winston). Once again, thanks for his friendship and for his attention. Best regards dear friend. Jesus

Hello Craig....I hope your Christmas was one to remember! The weather made our Christmas white and cold on the outside and the fireplace made it warm and cozy on the inside. My husband picked up his parents from the Nursing Home and the kids brought more presents for under our tree. Our Grandson helped his Dad disperse everyone's gifts and I got some great shots of "Smiles".It appeared everyone was good this year! Our Christmas dinner was complimented by everyone...and if I must say so, it was worth every effort! I want to thank you for being a great WS friend this year...your warm comments and visits always puts a smile on my face! I wish you and yours many new blessings, new photos and many new WS friends for the New Year! Peace and Love! Deb

Hi Craig, sorry for the two week delay in responding to your comment left at my River in Infrared album. Thanks so much for your kind words and for your advice, and the news on your most recent experiments too. I've tried shooting both in color and in b/w, and was surprised at the results in some of the color pics, after I adjusted in Photoshop. I'm not sure I even put those up. Levels and curves are two of my favorite ways of adjusting for tones. Would love to try the "local enhancement" plug-in, I'll look for it. I'll be looking for your shots increasing the depth of field - I know those will be amazing. I just wish we'd get some good skies when the tide is out at midday at the river! Well, winter is good too, that's for sure. Janice
