Hi there Paul! Lovely to hear from you on my Capilano Suspension Bridge album! Yes, the bridge swayed but timing your step to the rhythm helps! The more wonderful part of the visit was the rainforest! Oh I stood spellbound and in sheer awe of the height of those trees!!! If you have another chance, I'd encourage you to walk across Paul. On another note, how have you been? Best wishes from Malaysia, Joy

Hi Paul, thank you for dropping by to visit my fireworks competition album featuring the team from Spain. In reply http://news.webshots.com/photo/2250085910075335828TfEbBG was taken setting cam on tripod, bulb mode and using remote shutter release, focus on infinity, daylight settings. Open the shutter when you hear the mortar burst and hold it open until you can see the tails/trails of colour create their magical bouquet in the dark sky. Takes a few tries to time it so that there is minimal smoke. Exposure times varied between 4 and 6 seconds depending on the intensity of the flare. Have you got a fireworks event coming up that you could practice on? Have fun Paul! Joy
Hi Paul, how are you doing? Thank you for appreciating my new fireworks album featuring Team Spain in the competition that lasted 2 weeks in Malaysia. I'm just about to upload photos of the Finale held on 29 Aug and will invite you back to comment soon. Have you mastered the cam settings to shoot fireworks? Best wishes Joy
Greetings from Malaysia Paul! I am so encouraged by your appreciation of my Red Frangipani album! Here I was thinking I'd like to re-shoot as I thought they might look better in 9am bright sun instead.. lol.
I have revealed my cam data so that you can see what settings I used for each shot. I use an Olympus E510 and some shots were taken with a standard lens using macro settings. I will give it another try as the rest of the buds haven't yet bloomed ;-) Take care now, Joy
Dear Paul,
Glad you like the photos of Tahoe. Most of my album visitors go to the Tahoe albums.
I was just in Tennessee and North Carolina visiting the Great Smoky Mountains.
As to your visiting my favorite place in the world, Lake Tahoe, you have everything from casinos to nature.
For lodging, you have the fine rooms of the casinos, motels and the rental of condos, chalets, houses and cabins.
For cabins, condos and homes go here: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/california/lake-tahoe-ca
For motels and things to do, go here: http://www.tahoesbest.com/
For things on the waters---boats, cruises and such: http://www.boattahoe.com/boats.htm

Hi Paul,
So glad you are coming to Tucson. One must see is the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. It gives you a real good snapshot of plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert which includes parts of Northern Mexico. Hopefully some of the cactus will be in bloom by then. Whether or not they are, Saguaro National Park (there is an eastside and westside park) is good place to visit. The mission San Xavier del Bac is always a winner and it right off the freeway. 4th Avenue is an eclectic shopping/browsing area - many unusual places. Some good eateries there too. Mt Lemmon is 45 minutes up the mountain from Tucson and is definitely colder. I'd bring a sweat shirt and sweat pants type of clothing if going there. A jacket is good too. Since the weather can still go back to being colder, a jacket is a good idea to have along. The weather lately has been in the mid 80's during the day and does cool down at night. Tombstone is not far away as well as Bisbee; musts. We have the Kitt Peak Observatory. I think the 4th Avenue Street Fair will be on when you first arrive. They close down many blocks of 4th Avenue so you can walk on the street. The "Barrio" just south of the convention center is great because people are fixing up the old houses. Downtown is great too. There are several streets that if you take them to the foothills of the Catalinas you can see almost all of Tucson. Hope this helps. There is much to do & see here. Also the best Mexican food! (Especially on S. 6th Avenue & there is one on S. 4th Avenue & 29th - El Nidito. Enjoy your stay!!!!
Annie
PS Thank you for your kind comment on my pictures.

hi Paul! Thanks for viewing my Tombstone Pictures! From what I can find out, the Rose Festival 2008 will be April 12 & 13...even if you miss it, Tombstone is a great place to visit....plan on spending all day or even a few days....we have been there on day trips 3 different times taking family who were visiting us and my husband and I still have not seen everything there. There is a mine tour there that is really neat but requires going up lots of very steep stairs to get back out of the mine....it can be a little much for some folks to get up them...but it was very informative...You'll love the town and learning more of it's history! Have a great trip!!
Hi Paul, Agua Caliente park is way on the northeast side of town. It's like a little oasis in the desert. It has a cute history, too. Originally homesteaded it went through several owners, once an army base or something like that, and then they thought the hot springs would have curative properties so they blasted the hot and cold springs hoping to make more springs, but they just created warm springs...LOL. It's been restored and it's a great place to look for birds, etc. http://www.dotucson.com/visit.asp?qry=425
Have fun in Tucson! Favorite places we like to eat at when we're in town are Eegee's (they have these slurry drinks and good subs), Los Betos, 4th Avenue, the Mission del bac (sp?), Zack's pizza (if it's still around.) if you send me your email address, I can give you a more detailed list of things...I lived there for my formative years :)
Hi Paul, Thanks for your many comments on my albums. Gorman is such a beautiful place to visit in the spring, as you saw, the colors are fantastic. Keep on clicking. Jan

Hello Paul,
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I like San Diego... I'm going there in July 2007 and then again in October 2007. So I will be taking more pictures. I have a good friend who lives there and he takes me all over the town... Great tour guide... But I glad you like them.
