Caro amico Carlo! It was a big surprise for me see my photo POTD awarded yesterday for two reasons: first, because most of the award-winning photos are often beautiful landscapes of Mother Nature and not an 'abstract artistic expression' and second because it is for me the first time, since becoming a member of Webshot, in achieving this high honour. After seeing the awarded pic many wondered: what is this? However, say what really is, not meant to enjoy the artistic expression but, in order to kill the understandable curiosity of the visitors I would say that the picture was taken in a sculptures exhibition in honor of Don Quixote, here in my city of Alcala de Henares. Of course the picture doesn't show the total statue; it is only a very small part of it with a dramatic contrast of colours as background. I have two albums under the title Art photos. In them I want to share with you my personal experience that Art can be seen anywhere if we have enough capability to combine our emotions with what we see. A specific thing that caused to me a specific and deep emotion: that's "the rule" A simple application of Pablo Picasso statement "Art is not the application of a canon of beauty but what the instinct and the brain can conceive beyond any canon. chiedi a una genovese se è bella San Fruttuoso? Se hai visto le foto, ti sei fatto un'idea. Tieni conto che non ci sono strade per arrivare. O si prende il battello, o si passa dal monte di Portofino, per un sentiero nel parco. bellissimo, ma d'estate in salita a livello del mare fa decisamente caldo.
