    • Thank you Captan for visiting my photo album. I have walked past that tree many times since I took that photograph and I always thank the tree for given my a great photo. Of course it can not hear me for it is a pine tree that died in wildfire ;-) Thank you again, Dan.

    • Thanks so much for your comments on my bird images. I'm embarassed to say, I'm not very knowledgeable about birds. In fact, I need to photograph them, in order to identify them from a book later! Of course, I love seeing them & I love the challenge of photographing them. I think I will enjoy reading the Audubon journals you recommended as soon as I find time as I have so much to learn. I find that birders are such nice people. You are very attuned to birds. I enjoy your videos of your parrots.

    • Thank you sooo much for all the comments you left in my Faces Through the Ages album. It is a work in progress; as I find time, I upload a few more. There are over 100 to post yet. :) I had a fascinating day at the Denver Art Museum. Unfortunately, the first few you commented on were not on my attribution list. They were in the Native Americas area. The next time I go back, I will jot down the tribes and dates to add to the pics. The one you noted with black looking teeth was a photographic error. It was covered in mother of pearl, just gorgeous. The shiny black one that is a bit creepy was either ebony or onyx. Onyx sticks in my head right now. Most of them after the first few, I managed to keep a list with names, tribes, artists and or dates. Check it out now and then when you have time. I promise you won't be disappointed. There is something so fascinating about the lasting relics from as early as 1500-3000 BC. I haven't gotten there yet, but I will! And finally, I have to say, I am glad to see someone else enjoys the history as much as I do and am honored by your compliment. MJ

    • March 15, 2012, the Ides of March is "International 'Google James Tillich Day." As Caesar non-exists so do I! Google me once, Google me often, but Google.

    • Barbara, For a real digital hoot, check out my "Microwave Oven Computer Saver" in my brand new "Computer Savers" album! Expand it to full size and save as your screen saver! Then watch the reactions of people who walk by, preferably while you're in hiding....

    • Hi Barbara (found your name on some of the messages), Thanks for the comments on the bluebirds. I'm looking forward to seeing them return this spring. I'll have a second bird house put up by then so maybe we'll have two nesting pairs. Last year there was a bit of a dustup about which pair got to use the single house that was available. I think some of the bluebirds are here during the winter as a pair stopped by in January, checked the house, and then left again. So far we have had an incredibly warm, almost snowless winter. Such a change from last year.

    • Captain, You sure know your Calvinists like the guy who "... when he finished his diatribe, he took out his pocket handkerchief, and wiped the spittle from his lips and beard. I'd like to see him playing the preacher in the movie RAIN. Ole Sadie Thompkins would have led him into the surf!" Amen, sister, I believe...in folks like you! I don't believe in "sin"! I believe people can act immorally but it has nothing to do with anything called god or God or gods....I rather like what Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris have to say about such spittle drivel. Oh the "protoplastic peeping tom" line graces that image as its title by you! And several others in that album!

    • You wrote about the Hesperus that "finding the connection leads one to inspiration." How 'aptly phrased'* are your words, my friend! *To quote you again re: title for "Wreck of Hesperus, Japanese Print Version." I find your comments so insightful, so full of knowledge and wisdom.

    • A year or so ago you commented on the copper pendant lights in our kitchen. We will be replacing them soon. Bhey work perfectly and are perhaps 12 years old. If you have any interest in them, I can provide size specifics, otherwise will list on Craigslist.

    • Barbara, Absolutely loved your more-than-enthusiastic response to recent digital artwork. I don't even know what my work looks like on a big screen in high definition. I liked the bit about blowing the WS pros out of the theater!. Although my dream is to fill I-Max theaters with thousands of people watching my 300 feet tall images in spectacular ChromaDepth 3D. I'm onto something here....Paul

    • Barbara, Those are some great lines you dropped on Jackass Acres. Reminds me of a book title, Paul Boyer's "By the Bomb's Early Light" ! So there really is a similar place in Texas? Amazing stuff. You're right about MJ! Paul

    • Barbara, Please come over to "The Hunt for Sir James Tillich " album and click on "The James Tillich Memorial Museum." Follow the directions to have a look at the world's smallest museum (my school office!). Sign the guest book by leaving a message to Tillich!

    • Hi Barbara! Thanks for your nice comments on my birding album. I am pleased to be your WS friend. I took a quick peak at your albums & lucked upon the video clip of Keno playing with his rubber ducky--hilarious! Your birds seem so very happy with a great environment--it must be fun to watch them. It takes so much luck to see the wild birds on task for any length of time. I'll be coming back to see your other albums. By the way, you have written a great profile-oh my, a boat captain with a parrot!

    • Hi there, thank you for writing. I haven't been well and neither has my dad so I haven't been putting in much time on webshots. We are still under a lot of snow here. You can see the tiniest of green spots coming up right against the house which is warm and where it melts first..but that's all. We still have a few feet of snow in the yard. I can't wait for spring :)!! I hope you are doing really well :) xox My addie is donnagail@gmail.com if you ever want to keep in touch that way. Donna
