  • Hi! Thank you for posting this picture! I have been tracing our ancestry so I will be able to make books for my children someday. Telemachus Camp is my husband's ggggg grandfather! I would love to have a copy of this photo to add to the kids' books. I am collecting all the census records, family stories, photos, etc., that I can so my children will have this at their fingertips when they are older and curious about there ancestors.   • Hello, I am sharing with my family through email a daily diary written by my grandmother in 1926, then 16 yrs old and trying to add other information when possible about the time and place. She is currently visiting her boyfriend (my future grandfather) at Alton Memorial Hospital in 1926. You have a lovely scan of a postcard of the hospital. May I get a copy? I cannot figure out how to do this on this site. Thank you.

  • Hello, NIce collection. Hayner Library sent me your album & this is exactly what I have been looking for. I grew up in Alton, but now live in Las Vegas. I have recently purchased a home here and was looking for some old Alton photos for some decoration. Something similar to what Tonys has in their hallways. Is there a way I can obtain prints? Do have the originals? Printing from these obviously won't look well. Thx in advance. Sabin Orr

  • I noticed that you have a large number of old pictures, especially the JW Ash family. Are you doing geneology also? My 3 gr-uncle is JW Ash and he lived in Alton, IL in the late 1880s.
