Hi Joyce. Thanks for the visit. re the oil tankers..they run in constant convoys..all the fuel for Ladakh, including for the massive army deployments there on the Line of Control with Pakistan, make their way up in these tankers! Quite odd...hundres if not thousands at any given time. Cheers Diana

We are back on The Mountain with a fairly big storm and cold front dogging our heels, What fun! <could use the rain though> Miss Mieux seems to have kept things under control in our absence. Hi Joyce. Thanks for your views on Nubra. It is remote....near the line of Control with Pakistan towards the Siachen Glacier. I am so obsessd with those high altitude landscapes of the trans Himalaya /Central Asia. I just say I have to do it before I get too darn infirm. I do appreciate your comments and thoughts. I thought at the time that you might find the sunset interesting. Being at the center of the Florida peninsula we tend to get a variety of clouds and the light tends to linger too. The new 8 story parking garage at Tavares <the county seat of Lake County> is an excellent view spot in an otherwise generally flat terrain. Having a tourist rail road in the area is a nice added touch to life here in the lake district of the Florida Alps! Re: moon shots; I was using a tripod and remote control. Good thing the neighbors were asleep though. Ps. All Cats are experts at heat conservation! We <the Cats and I> trust all is as you wish it and Spring is treating you well!

The Boys seem to enjoy traveling. Spliffy hardly stays awake. Mr Stripes doesn't like it at all when the car door is open. Miss Mieux, on the other hand, once jumped out while we were briefly stopped in the woods and it took 3 weeks to convince her to come home!

Hi Ya!!! Been up in The Woods for a week or so with minimal connections. Brought back new stuff to post. <Cat action (or lack there of) and signs of Fall in The Great Green North Florida Woods> The local tourist railroad is under new management and slowly getting under way for the new season. It can be quite charming at times. http://railflorida.com/index.html There is always interesting things to be seen along the tracks. Re: calibrated Cats, Just think!, Some day I could clone all those 35 years of feline friends back all at once! <my wife might not be too enthusiastic on that idea!> Re: The rose; That bush <next door> has been blooming for at least twenty years.
