Wow. I just finished the album of Steen's Mountain. Loved it! Now I plan to go thru the rest of your albums. Someday when I get to get out there with my new dslr, I will upload mine too! :) Jesi
Crocked River Bridge!! I have tried many times to get a copy of it on a day that the water could be seen on TripCheck, Oregon DOT! I know the cameras are just a service and not quality, but I have been so curious! Who knows why!? But I keep hoping to get to travel someday and visit that area. Thanks so much for the great pics!
Hi Bill,
I haven't seen Peter Johnson in a while. I keep a blog about old motorcycles; http://www.thevintagent.blogspot.com/
I'd love to use your shots of his collection for a story; I won't mention Pete's name, and I will give you photo credit of course. His stuff is so amazing; I love the story that the Honda factory reps came by and denied his early ohc racer existed, then tried to buy it!
all the best, Paul d'Orleans
Could we use your photo of a gatling gun with the accles drum? The ship that we are trying to save had a gatling with the accles drum & we would like to include a photo of it at www.cerberus.com.au/armam ent.html#gatling

Hi Bill, I just stumbled on to the photo of your brother Tom and Doug Schwerma in Cotati. Doug was my uncle so it was pretty cool to google his name and actually find some history on him and Champion Racing Frames.I emailed the photo to myself so I can share it with my family, including my father(Doug's brother). Thanks for a special memory even though bittersweet.
Bill -
I saw the photo in the album about your Umatilla goose hunt - Lil's Goose. I'm a planner for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and really liked the photo. I was wondering if we could have permission to use it in our Comprehensive Conservation Plan? We will credit you as the photographer. Please email me at sharon_selvaggio@fws.gov. Thanks.
Hi, Bill! So nice to hear from you! I will definitely be contacting you in the near future; my grandsons are visiting, and am a little preoccupied! lol I would love to 'talk' with you, too. Thanks for the address. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you, so that's why I've left you a message. You're down the road, not 'up the hill'? lol You probably are familiar to everything above Angels being referred to like that. Thanks for the contact, looking forward to knowing you better. Take Care, Betty
To add a little to what I just posted, I am actually glad you contacted me, as I had downloaded the sign for Angels Camp (I really love that pic!) on a very old laptop that died (Of course) the night before I crushed an ankle and was in the hospital 10 days, in pc withdrawals! I have tried to find that pic especially for almost a year now, and was afraid the album had been removed. I was able to locate and download it again on my first brand new pc! I have a binder with jokes I've typed up, and at the end, the story Mark Twain wrote is preceeded by an 8 by 10 blowup of that pic, and is a great beginning for the story. Of course it's been for personal use only! You did a great job of catching the whole sign, with no glares, or cutting off part of it. Again, thank you for that special pic, and of course, the street signs! I get a kick out of the way that particular frog is used throughout the town, even painted on the sidewalks downtown! So I really do appreciate the effort you made to capture something of the town's 'flavor'!
Hello, I'm sorry I reacted so harshly about your pics of the Angels Camp area, and I did love several of them actually. I love my hometown, and am very homesick. I had to leave when I was 18, as I was pregnant, and didn't know there were programs to help others in my type of situation. When I did, it was too late to return, as I had no means, and didn't want my parents to feel shame. I agree that pics full of tourists are much worse than no pics at all, and hope you will accept my apology for my reaction. I'm usually a very kind person; that was totally out of charecter for me, and I wish I could somehow remove what was said. I wasn't aware I could make my comments in private, by contacting you this way, rather than blast you in the album itself. I was out of line; again, I apologise. You take care, and if I have something to say to anyone, I'll do it privately so it doesn't reflect on their work. After all, it's not the pro section that makes websots such a wonderful place to find great screensavers, it's the community, and the wide array of topics we can explore! Thank you for the wonderfu pics that were there, and for giving me something to see of my home. You Take Care! Betty from Tacoma
There are too few people who remember all of the tracks that we used to have. I grew up in San Rafael, know and knew Cotati and China Camp well and I'm from Iceland so I hope you make it up there too, as you stated. Thanks for that great Cotati photo, Ray. rraypo@hotmail.com
