Hi Allan... I am really disappointed in this Fujifilm S4000A. It is suppose to be 30X zoom, but my 8 mp, 10X zoom Canon zooms out further than the 30X Fuji! I compared the shots and was shocked to see that my Canon zoomed out further and even the photo quality was better. Then I tried a night shot, and used every single scene mode on the Fuji and never could get the photo without it being blurry (I tried for 30 minutes, taking photo after photo, on different settings of the same thing - it was always blurry). So I picked up my little 8mp Canon, took one photo and got it perfect. Nevertheless, I thought I would give it one more try today, so I went to the river and took shots with both cameras, compared them... I will definitely send the Fuji camera back. What a disappointment that was! I absolutely loved my first Fuji camera... I guess they are just not making them like they use to. I noticed that it was made in China. I had high hopes for this camera. Now I am back to trying to figure out what kind of camera to upgrade to. I want a good macro camera as well as a great zoom, hopefully that isn't too much to ask for :0) ... I wish you a pleasant day, dear friend! Sincerely, June

Hi Allan! Bev (webshots member periwinkle115) recently got a new camera (Canon Powershot SX30 IS) and she says she likes it... it is 14 MP and 35zoom. She uploaded some pics taken with it in her new album... if you have time, you might want to check it out. I wish you a spectacular week, dear friend! Sincerely, June

My first digital camera was a little Fuji Finepix A210, 3MP 3Xzoom, which was a great little camera. Something is wrong with it now though, the lens refuses to come out when it is turned on, so I don't use it at all anymore. I bought the Canon PowerShot SX100 when it was on sale, 8MP 10Xzoom, and it takes okay pics, but not as good as I would like. My sister bought her a brand new camera, so she gave me her used Fuji camera for my birthday, a Fuji Finepix S1000, 10MP 12Xzoom, but every time I have tried to use it, the photos don't turn out good... I think something is wrong with the camera. Therefore I stick with the Canon. I really would like a new camera, and really appreciated your advice on the matter! Thanks so very much for answering my questions! Have a great week, dear friend! Sincerely, June

You are welcome, Allan! Thanks for answering my question. How is the Canon on zooming out... is the stablization good? Whenever I get another camera, I want to get one that zooms out far, but has good stablization so that I can get some clear shots. Also, does it do real close macro shots? I also want a camera that does great macro shots, right up within a half inch of the lens. My first digital was a Fuji and I loved that little camera, then I got a Canon power shot which is what I use now, but two things wrong with it... no good stablization when zoomed out and can't get real close macro shots. I wish you a pleasant day! Sincerely, June
