  • Thanks for the comment.s We are still decorating. We now have at least one on all three floors. We picked up two cut trees today for our master bedroom TV room. My wife is still decorating it. Pictures to be added to my Cabin Christmas 2009 album. I added more pictures tonight and need to take more.

  • Hi Carol, How was your Thanksgiving? Thank you for visiting my "HUMPBACK BRIDGE" album. I was such an amazing bridge. I don't see many covered bridges, either, so I was just blown away with this one. By the way, I LOVE your profile statement. So true....Love and Hugs, Patty

  • Dear Carol, We certainly had the priviledge of taking photos of the sculptor's works as he walked through with us every creative work (sculpture, painting, jewelry, etc.) displayed in the gallery. Initially, I did not take out my camera since I knew this is not allowed in art galleries I visited before. However, when someone in the tour group asked permission to take photos to which the artist granted, the rest of us followed suit & started taking photos to our hearts content! It was indeed a rare opportunity to have taken those pictures, and an even rarer opportunity to have met & listened to the artist, Duddley Diaz, tell beautiful stories behind some of his interesting works of art! We stood there in awe & with rapt admiration! Thank you, Carol, for viewing this art album, a reminder of that rare afternoon we spent with a gifted artist while admiring the fruits of his creations. God bless you, my dear friend! ~~~Mary Ann

  • Hi Carol: Thanks for your always welcome comments :-) Marv ... I'm going to use this 'Snowy-Walk' photo for my 2009 card. I flopped it for a 'more-better' fit on the cards. http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2682053140001186366jdYoka

  • I took it myself with a tripod. She does not like pictures taken of her.

  • Here's a belated thanks for your visit and for your wonderful remarks, much appreciated. About the "Somebody Help Me" subtitle to Barns IV: this was a tongue-in-cheek way to acknowledge my friend's, Ann7f, good-natured razzing about my predilection for barns. I have no intention of ceasing to photograph these amazing structures, and I'll always be on the lookout for interesting new ones anywhere I travel in the world. If my luck hods out I think it is entirely likely that a Barns V will be forthcoming sometime in the future. Thanks for your concern and for your support. Regards, Fred

  • No worries at all sweetie! I don't worry about stuff like that - when you have time you stop by and I am thrilled and when you don't have time well - then I look forward to your next visit whenever that may be - I just hope that all is well with you and the two and four-legged family!!! :D...I haven't spent any time on w/s recently, the spam frustrated the ....out of me..now I am doubly happy, they asked me to type these odd characters before I post a message - a pain in the butt, but worth it if it keeps the stupid spammers at bay! And about Portland I really, really hope you get to go sometime, it is so beautiful! I love it dearly and my heart will always be there, I consider Oregon my home and we'll retire there in a few years, Godwilling :D! Cheers and hugs. Marita

  • Hello! If you haven't been to Busch Gardens in awhile I would go there. I live right outside of Tampa, so we have year round passes. I don't ride the rides, but I love the animals! Have you seen the newest tiger area? We hadn't been to Epcot in awhile, it hadn't seemed to change much. We went on October 4th, my hubby's birthday. It had been nice all week and then whoa too much sun! Thanks for stopping by! Marie

  • Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are my favorite majestic bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave
