As soon as your name popped up I was so happy. I haven't seen you here in quite a while and was really beginning to worry. You know, you worry about people but don't want to intrude. I hope that everything is OK with you, if not is there anything I can do?
Sharon
Hi, this is Trudy from Newport, Or . Maybe some day we could visit our sites and exchange ideas... I had no idea anybody from Newport is on Webshots...Greetings, Trudy
So glad to hear from you. I know that it is hard when people you love and care about are sick, or that you lose them. I know that I had 2 years, 6 months and 21 days longer with my mother than I thought I was going to have and I cherished every moment. Life does go on and I do have those moments when I feel that she is very near to me. Thank you for your very nice comments on my photos. I lucked out for the cherry blossom shots. I was scheduled to go to Sweet Home on the weekend that I took them and was going to leave early enough to do the photos but the weather forcast said rain and Saturday was still beautiful, so I went down on Saturday and you know the rest. They were truely beautiful. Willamette National always gets to me because of who are there, our hero's. One of my youngest son's friends is there and with how many are there what is remarkable is that he is in the grave right next to his uncle. My next trip will be either to the beach or back up to Hood River. I took my traveling buddies up there for the blossom festival and introduced them to the Apple Valley Store. They have absolutely wonderful local Jams and Jellies. They all want to get cherries (The Dalles) so we need to go when they are ripe and then I want to see if the road up to Lost Lake is open. With all the snow, you just don't know. I sure hope so, I don't have a lot of good snow pictures. Take care and I do hope that some time we'll be able to get together for some picture taking.
Sharon
Mom would have loved my getting POTD on webshots. It was such a surprise when I started getting comments in my e-mail. I didn't know what was going on. As a photographer, it seems we are our most critical critics. I always wonder if a photograph is as good as I think it might be. My friend, Trish, who paints oils is the same way about her stuff. Sometimes I think that she just doesn't know how good she is.
I know that you live in the Salem area and I would like to maybe get together this summer some time and just get out there are take photographs. We have so much that is beautiful in our general area. The covered bridges, the mountains, Silver Falls state park, and any number of other good spots. Think about it. Sharon
Thank you for your kind comments on my grandkids photo. We had so much fun up there. I thought the joy in their faces was just it too. It's kind of hard to get good photo's when you have to stand out of the way and keep shooting as they whiz toward you and then zip past. I did like the cabin photo too. I am going to start doing cards and that is one photo that I am going to use. I've already sold a set of 20 for a friend to use as Christmas cards this Christmas.
How are you other wise? Are you recovering from your lose? I know that at times there are things that set me off. Seeing photos of Mom, thinking of things that
she loved to do, sometimes just a stray thought will bring the pain in my heart up. But it does get a little easier (not much) because I still miss her so much. I think that I miss that "I've been thinking" that she use to do all the time. When ever I heard that I knew that I was going to do something.
Take care
Love Sharon
May the good LORD be with you and comfort you as you mourn your friend. I know that he has been a great help to me as I mourn my beloved Mother. May I recomend a book that may help you at this time. It is titled 90 Minutes in Heaven and written by Don Piper, who, in 1989, was killed in a head on crash. His small car was crushed by a semi and 90 after being declared dead, when another minister was praying over him, he came back to life. I had read the first 4 chapters to my Mom the day before she passed. My mom was a very independant woman and one of the strongest and most gracious people that I know. The last month of her life was difficult for me because of her condition. She did not want to linger and I am so glad that she didn't. I really believe that those words, in that book comforted her and let her know that there truely is a beautiful place to go and be with the LORD. Bless you. Sharon
The quilt show is really neat. It would be a nice day trip for you from Salem. I think it is from 9:30 in the morning until 5 at night and it is always the second Saturday in July.
oh...you remember that old slogan...you are an official Oregonian! lol! I'm just teasing about the Californians.. (well kinda! lol!)this state is huge...and theres plenty for everyone....hope you get to enjoy it this summer! Happy August 1st Adagraphs! April
well hello! and happy hot summer days! are you enjoying July and how was your 4th? so nice of you to drop by and admire my pics again... hope you are well...:) April
Have you checked out the slideshow feature?? It is really awesome. On some of the photo's it almost looks like the leaves are moving in the wind and on the water ones, the water seems to be moving.
Thank you for your kind remarks. I like puppy tracks too. Shasta is past puppydum but still acts like one. She's not a snow girl. I have one picture with her on the porch and she's looking at me like I'm crazy because I want her to go out in the snow to do her stuff.
The trick to taking photo's of the sea gulls in flight is to have someonewith you who is throwing bread. My son and grandchildren were with me and throwing the bread in the air. The almost suspend themselves while they wait for the bread.
Greetings from Corvallis, and thank you for the kind remarks. I see you knwo my friend April too! Cool, I have some images of WaterLilies taken in San Francisco in the Conservatiory of Flowers at Golden Gate Park. Will be going there again soon and with a new camera. Should be a good shoot. I'll review all of your albums as time allows. Thanks for posting a few messages, I enjoyed your comments.

The verse about Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted is from the Beatitudes. They are all good.
