Hi Tony!! Thanks for your note. I dropped by the new site ... you'll have to tell me what you like about it!! I notice that large sizes put a logo on the image to discourage theft, but they can still be copped. Was there something else about the site that you enjoy? I think the thing about WS, in addition to all the adorable people, is the daily potd, the daily features on the channels and sub channels (although lately, WS hasn't been changing those at all). And of course the creative challenges. Does redbubble have that too? Is it easy to navigate and meet new people? Oh well, enough of my quizzes ... too much coffee this am I guess!! Hi my friend. My first trip in this summer was with my colleagues to Viljandi and Karksi. The cultural region of Southern Estonia is characterised by scattered settlements – fields, patches of forest, marshlands, meadows and farms in between. This mosaic-like landscape reveals layers of different times and different cultures. While travelling in Viljandi County, you may expect to encounter something interesting from the past at every step.Our history is filled by foreign conquerors and the wars they have waged. Germans, Russians, Poles and Swedish – they have all left some traces in our landscape, language, memory, history and way of life. Sacred groves, burial grounds and sites of ancient hillforts still tell the story of the ancient freedom of our people, the legends of the giants Kalevipoeg and Vanapagan are still preserved in our memory. Of the stone castles and monasteries, which the Germans built when they conquered Estonia, sadly only wall fragments and grass-covered cellar vaults remain. Check out my new album. I agree with you about what makes a good photograph. You note the it should be good to look at. I would add, it must have an emotional appeal to please my eyes, something that makes me think or makes me keep going back for another look. What do you think? Marie from KC
