Hello! Your photos of the Joyner Graveyard clean-up give me hope!! I've hit a wall in my research of Joyner Familiy history.. Mostly because 'my' Joyner moved to Florida before 1900 and my grandmother died when I was 12.. So, my connection was lost.. If you have any information and would share (particularly on Augustus' parents, g-parents, etc.), I would love to hear from you!! Thanks!!!paige.bullard@gm ail.com

Thanks for the directions to the old mill. Hopefully things haven't changed in the sticks too much in 20 years! I see you have a little Confederate spirit in you. Someone in my Champion family was given the Southern Cross of Honor. It was handed down to my great-grandfather from one of his uncles. I just need to do some more research to find out which one. Some other Sirnames are: Johnson, Wheeler Bunn, Pleasants, and Rich. My ggrandfather lived in Gold Mine for many years before he pasted. Thanks again!

Just wondering if you could give me direction on how to get to Laurel's Mill. I have a picture of Laurel's Mill that I took about 20 years ago in my home. I've moved from the area and would like to get an updated picture. Also there is, or use to be an old house set back off the road in that area (i'm sure there are plenty that fit that description) that was my great grandmother Mattie Champion's house that I also have a picture of. Are you from the Justice/Castallia area?

Do you have any additional info on who is buried at Oakwood. Looking for someone. Also, the best way to get there? Thanks
