1stLt. Robert Schena - UH-34D driver, Killed In Action - 1966. He was my hometown friend. Years pass, his family sees memorials added to friends from my hometown (too many, I'm afraid), Bob included; his nephew (a local fireman) represented his family in presenting me a picture (not this one) of Bob relaxed and smiling. A very nice gesture, since then we've been friends - openly discussing what his uncle saw, from my perspective as a UH-34D gunner. Like they say, all we had was each other - rank had no say in who lives and who dies, it's just the way war is. Black and white. Hand Salute, Bobby Schena not a bad baseball player either. Taught me a thing or two... TOWER...a touch and go, yankee november three passing through, have a nice day...tower, clear (remember, this is a DOG!)
