Hey Bella, m so happy to c ur msg..:D thanks for ur appreciation. you know wot,...i envy u that u have started painting..the latter was my first love..and there was a time i used to paint like lunatics n unfortunately ..with growing acads i cudnt pursue it further..havent really done it frm a decade now..but yes, your prof is right..it will definitely improve ur photogrpahy ..cas one gets to learn a lot abt lighting, tones n interplay of these elements when painting ..esply if doing still life!..i wish i cud pick it up too...one peice f gud news frm my side to..i got a job! the begining is humble nly..but its my first job..and i hope..i am abel to do good. unfortunately i cudnt rope-in any vacation n m dying for one...:<....i hope am able to get sme time off now to pursue atleast photogrphy n stay active on WS...<amen> well, thats 4 now..do keep me posted abt ur new painting techniques n all..may b i get inspired by u n pick up my pencils,crayons, oil paints n easels agn :D takecre..love. swati.

Hi Rita, thank you for your kind comments on my POTD "The Magic that is Autumn". You asked what I used to create it and it was made using a plug-in for Photoshop made my Redfield called Fractalius. If you have Photoshop you can download a 30 day free trial from Redfield and "play" with it. It is fairly simple to use but very "addictive". Hope this information helps. thanks for your kind words on mine photos.The picture with the bird you thought was a eagle,is one of the last Condors in Peru.On that picture they look small,but I saw one upclose and they are so big one was 4 meter wide.and can pig a small cow off the ground. Hi Rita, How are you and your family. Unfortunately I have missed the communications with my friends online but Am finally now back on the computer after having a major virus which crash the whole system. Have borrowed a friends computer. Thank you for your concern, the fires were in Victoria and sadly there were losses of life but the country gave overwhelming help for all who were affected by the fires. Northern Queensland had a cyclone and caused flooding.It has been an extremely hot and dry summer here and with severe water restrictions the garden suffered, just dry dirt. The roses and lavender and some native bushes survived. This week was the first rains and it is a welcome change. I have new photos to upload of my trip to the coast. Will chat again.

Hi Rita! About that problem with the lens; as I mention before I have the same problem when I use my 18mm-75mm lens with my Sony DSLR A-100. I think the problem is because we bring the lens to it's maximum wide angle, in our case the 18mm and the barrel of the lens is visible on the picture because we can't see the whole picture true the eye piece. In other words, the camera's sensor can see more of the picture then we can see true the eye piece. The best is to take one picture and see what it looks like on the display, then adjust the lens until we are satisfied with what we see. Well my friend, I hope this helps you, it helps me.
