  • Hi Michelle! I'm sorry my website for the puppies did not come up using " www.PeekabooPuppies.com ". I just tried it myself and it popped right up. Just keep trying, hit refresh, resend, etc., and the home page should open for you. Sometimes web pages do not open the first few tries for whatever reasons. Yes, your dog would no doubt love to have a companion so he is never alone. Dogs are pack animals and either want to be with you (the pack leader) or another pack buddy, such as another dog. To answer your question about keeping their eyes clean; simply wipe gently around the eyes, nose, and between any wrinkles with a clean cloth dampened with warm water. There are also products available to clean and whiten without harming the eyes. Look online or at pet supply stores. Blessings, Judy

  • Dear Judy and Christine, I haven't seen your work on the WS challenges for quite awhile now, and I miss your entries. I have just entered the National Geographic photo contest with six of my shots and am letting my WS friends know. I'll give you a link to three (I believe you can search for others), and would appreciate it if you could take a look. There is a people's choice award, based on voting by the public, as well as the judges' selections. The cougar shot seems to be my top vote-getter so far. The two cats playing are next - they're my Manx rescues, Gollum and Aragorn. That shot was here on WS and recently won a best-in-show at a local photo exhibition contest. The hummingbird is one of many from my garden. But the NG competition is huge, with thousands of entries, so mine will get lost in the crowd. I just figured I might as well try, just to see if people like my work. Enjoy! ~ Brenda http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807530 and http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807532 and http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807528

  • Hi Christine; I love Pekes too,and have several since our first. a little silver sable sleeve named Sing-Song(Rat for short),she looks alot like your little sleeve, she weighed 9ozs. when she was 3 weeks old had hypoglycemia stunted her but Song was a big dog in her own eyes. She won a lot of hearts along the way and loved the attention. As you know most people never see Sleeves. Seems so long ago.Since then we've had 8 Pekes and love each and every one.

  • I passed 100,000 views today. What a thrill that was! I remember when I began posting photos a year ago last week, that seemed an completely unattainable number. Thank you, all my dear friends who take time from your busy lives, to look at my photos and especially to those who are kind enough to leave such supportive, cheerful and sometimes humourous comments! You put a smile on my face every morning and I am more motivated to try to get outdoors, to get better photos, than if you were not there wishing me well! You all inspire me in so many and different ways. I have learned so much from your suggestions and from observing your styles and tricks as well as being inspired by the way you live your lives. You all have a keen eye and fine talent for a great photo, but even better hearts! We all crave a feature or a POTD, but a charming word of praise from a webshots friend means even more to me, on a bad day. All of you miraculously speak English, or make a marvellous effort and are so patient with us who do seem to take over the net and the world with our language. We have so much more in common than we have differences, even if we live in vastly different climates, circumstances and landscapes; love of learning, family, friends, curiousity, but most importantly, we all speak the universal language of the miraculous camera lens to illuminate our own lives as well as others. I hope I have forgotten no one.Merci beaucoup! Vielen Dank! Bedankt! Merci villmahl! Diolch yn fawr iawn! Grazia! Grazie! Spasibo! Dziekuje! Ahéhee'! Muchas Gracias! Çok sagolun! Baie dankie! • Derest Friend, I will gladly lift you in prayer for this next time of surgery. Would you mind telling me what it is for? You certainly don't have to, of course, I'm just so sorry you've had such a bad time of it. Forgive my nosieness, dear Judy, I just wondered what your living arangements are since your moved from your house. Our Aaron unfortunately does not even have a hiogh School diploma. He had a terrible time in school-partly the teachers and partly him. He says now that he wishes he had stayed in school and is the first to tell younger kids to hang in there and do their best and "graduate"!! He is bipolar and has a learning disability-it makes it rough, but he is still smart enough. He wants more than anything to work with computers-he builds them and is always being called to fix this or that-teach someone something-program them. I think he has a little place in his heart where a computer sits. He feels that since we moved he has no chance, but I keep trying to tell him to go for it. He just can't see working and going to school-he's young, perhaps he'll see clearly yet! He fights another problem that so many young people these days fight and that especially scares me. Well, dear one, I will gladly keep you in prayer. You certainly have been through a lot and we will pray that God will see you through and all will be restored and you will be whole. Beloved, may The Lord bless You and keep You; The Lord make His Face to shine on You and be gracious to You. The Lord lift hp His countenance on You and give You Peace." Now, my Dear, go touch your head with a bit of oil and read this great blessing again. It is yours to carry in your heart-go in Peace......janie

  • Another little message, Dear Judy. Seldom get to do the little things 'that mean a lot!' like writing a holidays to wish my wonderful friends well and let them know they are being thought of. I realize that people like you are extremely busy, so please don't feel I am 'hinting!' In case you don't recall my husband has been under hospice care here at home (it will be 2 yrs. in July), he is still alive, but of course takes steps down now and then. He is keeping me busier, too. We moved recently to a newly built retirement community close by where I hope things will be easier as time goes by. We had a mobile home and are praying that our older son, Rob, will be able to take it over. I felt that when my husband passes away and the money goes down I would not be able to keep the home much longer and these 'Senior's Apts' are hard to get and I must take one while I can. It was the hardest thing I've ever done to leave our 20 yr. old to be on his own. I'd like to have given him a couple more yrs., but I must trust God on this and rely on the prayers of family and friends to pull us all through. A friend from church told me Sunday that during intercesion she heard an older gentleman wisper Aaron's name-Oh the blessing of it was such a gift!! I realize that a Mother who has come so close to loosing a child understands the need a parent feels-Aaron is the most beloved person to me, but he needs to grow up. May the Lord bless and keep you and your family, Dear One.....Janie
