Hi Matti. This weekend I am celebrating reaching one million views. Since becoming an active WS member about 3 years ago I have rekindled my love of photography, in large part because of the photo walks that keep me getting out there (wherever that may be) with my camera, the creative challenges that encourage us to attempt something new, and because of all the great feedback and comments that are exchanged. I have compiled a "Thanks, a Million" album of various features and cc placing photos in a thank you album. I invite you to stop by and take a look. Steve

Dear Matti, Your introspective comments in my Honda Bay Palawan album is so warmly appreciated. The islands (& islets) of that bay are essentially untouched by commercialization. Much of those tropical beaches are still very rustic & somewhat undeveloped. But that is what makes those places truly charming. I chose your thumbnail of the Sibelius monument on the first page of my Finland search....what a great choice! I've just watched the slide-show of your In The Woods album which I loved. It encapsulated the beauty of Finland and I'm looking forward to viewing all your albums. I've just started studying Finnish for pleasure and after a morning of flashcard vocabulary and grammar a reminder of why I'm so drawn to your country is very welcome. Matt, You just made me realize something. Like Texas, Arizona is a "lone star" state! Yup, that's the flag of my state, Arizona. But in these days of prejudice and ignorance at the highest levels of our state government, it's nothing to be proud of.

Dear Matti, I love all the insights you wrote in my Sky Wonder album. All of them are precious to me, especially the first one about the fiery sea sunset with swirling clouds. That scene moves me, too! When I took that shot, I was barefeet on a wet sand bar during a windy low tide late afternoon. I was alone but enjoyed the quietness & breeze from the sea. Indeed it was a gem of a moment, and I was glad I bottled that precious event with that photo. I am happy to know you felt that moment, too, though you are thousands of miles away!
