Hello Marius! Thank you for inviting me to your new photo site! The photos are just spectacular. The portrait of the young woman (is that you?) is great photography. I'm happy to see that you have upgraded to a new camera. I am thinking of doing so myself. I want to challenge myself with a SLR. Good luck Marius..please keep in touch! Deb

We are not sure what future will bring. Untill that time we stay closer to our homecountry Belgium. You are living in South Africa? Than you speek almost the same language as we do? Hello Marius, and it was nice to hear from you. I thank you for your viewing some of my photos and your comments, like on the romaine lettuce pic. and the question about the prayer plant. That is the green leaf with the bright pink lines in it, and at night two leaves always come together into the shape of a pair of praying hands, to open again in the morning, hense...the name prayer plant.

Dear Maruis it has now been a while that I have felt very frustrated and unhappy with Webshots it is clear to me that they can not handle such a big site. There is wonderful talented people on this site that never gets a feature and their photographic art is never recognized.I was invited to join a site called Redbubble by one of my very good Webshot friends an this stage there is 35 of us that has made this leap in the last month. I would like to quote you a few words that one of our x-webshot friends wrote that should explain to you why the Bubble is a much better site for people that is serious about their photography: ““Phewwww a weeks a long time in the bubble eh ? ... new friends .. old friends several features (7 for the feature counters) and even el presidente favored me ..(tell me another site where that happens !) I dont say that based on any delusions of grandeur…I say it because in that lays the essence of this site ..even the co-owners are actively hands on… ...but what I have learnt (refreshingly) most in this past week..is that its not about stats and views..(they are no where to be seen !).. no corporate judgments made on how good your images will look on coffee cups or mouse mats…its simply and genuinely about you…and your images and your art all adjudicated by your peers”" I have paid my subscription for this year at Webshots but I will no longer come here regularly. I had to choose between the two sites (the Bubble is for free !) because it just takes up to much time to belong to both. If you feel like coming to look me up please do so that you can then see for yourself how much better your photographs look on the bubble as well. The webadres is www.redbubble.com and my name that you should look up is SandraRos. If you would like to email me you are also very welcome as I would like to keep in contact with you and a few of the other Webshoooooters ! It is sandraros@mweb.co.za Hope to hear from you soon !

Hi Marius, it `s me again. :-) I want to THANK YOU VERY MUCH for viewing my Country Summer album - and especially for your lovely comments! To your question: I am sorry, I do not know the name of that lakeside flower, but it is NOT heather. You will find HEATHER in my newest album "Beautiful Sauerland", where you can see pictures of my area where I live (in the South of Northrhine-Westphalia). I am glad that you enjoyed your visit, Marius - THANKS and best wishes! Erika

Hey Marius, nice to hear from you again! Yes, I have just launched a new album - "Country Summer". I hope you will find it a bit interesting, in case you should visit... :-) Sometimes I wish I lived in your climate! I LOVE the warmth. Here it is often so cold - even in summer! Now autumn is at the door ... I dislike winter. Marius, I hope that you are well and can enjoy your weekend. Bye, cheers ..... Erika

Hi Maruis thanks for all the lovely, kind and gracious comments. We took an extended weekend and only came back today from the Drakensberg. Will post a small album in the near future. Not a good time of the year to take photographs but I think I got a few good ones. My husband went playing golf, I drove the golf car (like Schumagher) and took photographs of the wonderful nature around us. Spent a lot of time trying to help him find his golf balls as well LOL Was so good to hear from you hope you have a great to days before the weekend. Just by the way we went to Loftus last Saturday to listen to Angus Buchan. It was an awesome experience (even for someone like me that is use to very Dutch reformed ways in church. Het groot geword in die NG Kerk) It was unbelieveable to see 71 thousand Christians all in one place

Hallo Marius, THANKS for viewing my flower shots and for leaving your nice comments! Also I thank you for your message. I see in your area it is cold now in winter. And in my country it is cold now in summer! Yes, we really have typical April weather at present instead of warm summer. However, all through June we had wonderful warm and sunny weather and we could stay outside. I took many photos during my tours which will make a WS album some time later. We have still summer holidays here and hope that with next week sun & warmth will be back. Have a pleasant week, Marius. It has been nice hearing from you. God bless you, too. Erika

Hi Maruis you are very quiet ! I know it is very cold here at the moment but I am sure the camera is not frozen LOL Actually I understand because there is very little photo opportunities at the moment with this brown, drab landscape of winter around us even the bugs I love to photograph is dead and gone

Hi Marius, THANKS for your nice message - most interesting! Do you speak German, too? MANY THANKS also for your lovely comments on my photos! (Yes, I took LOTS of shells home with me!) Would be very very nice of you to leave also a comment under the albums that you have visited. Would be much appreciated, too! I do not know, if the German national team will win tonight - it is going to be MOST exciting. It will not be an easy "fight" for "us", as the Spanish team has so excellent players.... Well, we will see. Have a nice week, Marius. Cheers, Erika
