Well another one has come and gone Leon. All the wrappings are cleared away and the soup pot is full of left overs, YUMMY. Tonight the Olympic Torch arrives in our city and there is a big celebration, b-u-r-r, too cold for me, won't be standing out there, not even if they paid me. Hi Leo, and Mary Poppins did pop in....had a bit of trouble with the umbrella, but all was well after she got her hot toddy. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, our's was grand. We still have three wee ones that we didnt see today so ours is in continuation for the next few days. That's fine, dont know if I can handle it all at once any more. Had only 9 over for dinner today with all the regular Christmas goodies. Ham, turkey and all trimmings, and of course almost caught the oven on fire melting (not just browning) the marshmellows on the sweet Po's. gotta have the excitement. So on to bed. Der Leon, do thin you are faring better than us with regards to rain, although you did cop the heat and had my sympathy. We have had some good rain over the last few days and it is so muggy when it stops that the heat is oppressive and to cap things off I am sort of house bound for a couple of days with blinds drawn, eyes are so red and sore from hay fever and not a sneeze. Have tablets (Telfast) and drops and they are slowly easing, felt like I had been poked in the eyes with a hot stick. slower than usual on computer as I have dark glasses on and they do help but a little hard to see especially the code words. Dear Leon, we certainly copped a storm today and another coming through tonight and tomorrow. 20 mils in 20 minutes and of course flooding in the usual places and that doesn't include the catchments. Sadly water restrictions will remain, although we had a lot of rain where I live and it will do the gardens good especially the Botanical gardens all around the state. Dear Leon, so good to hear from you, sometimes time seems to be too far between and who knows where it disappears. We could do with some more rain and hope there is some for us. Sorry to read about and see on the BOX the extreme temps over your way Leo, how you all must be suffering,I can imagine how the birds and animals must be, and the people who have no way of cooling themselves down, must be agony for them,it is bad enough for us who have air cons to cool our homes, so drink plenty of cool stuff and dip your tootsies into cold water..From, cooler than youKathie..
