    • That's wonderful that you made POTD last week! Frankly, since AM took over WS, and keep tinkering with it, and due to my health, my PC time is so limited, I get in & out of WS daily as quickly as possible, snagging what daily photos I want and doing little browsing. Consequently I've probably missed a lot of your good work. I plan on checking out your own photo website one of these days, and hope that goes well for you. Hope you and your wife have a wonderful Thanksgiving season!

    • I send you warm sunshine from “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” Destin, Florida, USA - I like your photos and I want to be your Webshots friend – Please visit my page and invite me - If you get some time, please take a look at what I’ve been doing – Many of my photos have been featured - All my art starts as a normal digital photograph – But, I think you might be surprised that I do not use any special digital manipulation software to create it – I pride myself on only using the basic rudimentary tools provided with my Canon camera – ZoomBrowser – I only tweak contrast, saturation, brightness and color tone curve adjustments to achieve the desired effect – The use of ChromaDepth 3D glasses greatly enhances the effect – Thanks – Larry

    • Hi Jim - Thanks so much for congratulating me on my POTD in News: “Smoke on the Island” – The name of the island is Okaloosa Island - But its official name is Santa Rosa Island - The body of water north of the island is the Santa Rosa Sound and the body of water south of the island is the Gulf of Mexico – The fire was located (30.3964 N 86.5893 W) – It was in an abandoned building that resulted in a total loss of an estimated $1 million in damage – The fire closed US Highway 98 for nearly an hour - The first crews were on the scene at 7:38 am on February 18, 2010 and were able to keep the fire knocked down, but a second-alarm was raised due to the large amount of smoke - Also, thanks for all your wonderful comments you have left on many of my other photos – Your friendship is very dear to me! - Check out the latest Art Walk album http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/577089820RcVKOQ - Bright wishes always – Larry

    • Hi Jim, thanks for visiting my last couple of albums, I always appreciate your comments. Sorry to hear about your knees. I don't know what I would do with myself if I couldn't get out in the woods or mountains at least once a week. I'd probably be hard to live with. At any rate, you are always welcome to come along, vicariously, of course. Richard

    • Hi Jim, Thank you visiting my albums this weekend. It was fun walking around the site of Dr. Quinn: Medicine Women never watch the show. I did have the whole place to myself for awhile. M*A*S*H, I felt like I was on sacred land. Referring to the old truck, I spotted it from hill that I camp out on and I know that had to go there first thing in the morning. I am hoping I get back soon…Carrizo Plain is green right now and perfect for photography. Take care, Dan.

    • That's a pretty impressive resume ;-) I'm terrible on the business end ;-/ Wow ! you've removed a lot of your albums ! ;-O Going through my list of about a hundred people on here . I find about half have left already , mostly to redbubble ! I like dropping some stuff here where I don't have to worry too much about the quality ;-) So it still serves a purpose ;-) Moved onto other places also though ;-)

    • Thanks , the Hare/ Jackrabbit will eventually be a carving made partly of Burl . The full sized Hare riding a Tortoise ;-)The hare will be positioned different though . Sort of like he's riding in a race car ;-) The final piece will be more highly detailed . More like the cat but in natural wood tones with some burning techniques . Do you have an image up of your feather ? Like to see some more of your carving.

    • Hay Jim! Thanks for your always welcome comments. I have to confess the "Waist Management" title didn't occur to me immediately. Over the years I've found that many of my "best inspirations are accidents" ... but finding them is "half-the-fun". (88-D) ... old-iiii's Marv

    • I was perplexed by the moniker. Juggling two accounts is a bit overwhelming to me. Most of the members I see with two accounts are doing so because they don't want to pay for premium membership. Anyway, why did you delete all former albums? Although you have a much better camera and can produce much better images, does that mean all your previous work suddenly became unworthy of view? I doubt that it had to do with space due to the premium quantities. I have not even gotten close to my limit.
