I used to be very interested in Mt. Everest, having read many books about it through the years, although I don't think I'll ever see it in person. I'm not sure I will be posting many more albums, either. But I added a few pictures to my John Muir Trail albums. Good luck venturing into the Alps.

About climbing: I formerly did some mountaineering and rock climbing, but I'm retired from that -- most of my adventures are probably going to be internal ones from now on. The hike up to Clouds Rest and back (pictures shown in my album) is also probably going to be my last strenuous hike of that nature. You walked up to Base Camp? Google Earth tells me that's at 17,275 feet, or 5265m. The Alps are great for mountain scenery, especially the Chamonix region near Mt. Blanc.
